Broncos win!

Most fascinating thing about this is how wade Philips, who was the head coach for two years in the 90s.....came back 21 years later to be the DC and out coached Josh McDaniels.

I wonder how many NFL or college programs have ever brought a former head coach of that team back in to a different coaching role for the same team.

Either Tom Brady really can't throw a fully inflated football in cold weather or the fix was in.

I am happy for PM but Brady looked terrible...not quite as bad as the O Line but really? Never seen him so unable to make plays.

Um, lots of coaches.

Gary Kubiak was the Houston head coach, got fired, spent a year as the offensive coordinator with the Ravens. He was hired as the HC again for the Broncos.

John McDaniels himself was the Broncos head coach just a few years back. Went back to OC for the Pats.

Same goes for Steve Spagunulo, Giants DC. He was the head coach with the Rams.

The list goes on and on. Its VERY common.

Also Wade Phillips wasnt gone for 21 years. He was the head coach for the Cowboys in the late 2000s and then had other assistant positions after getting fired.

Yet they still could have won. Neither offense looked that good although the Pats were moving the ball pretty well in the 4th quarter. its a shame to lose a game on a missed XP

In fairness to Brady, his O-line was awful. I've never seen him get smacked around like that.
I was rooting for the Pats. I couldn't wait to see a Super Bowl team with FIVE Rutgers guys on its roster.
It wasn't so long ago when there weren't five in the entire league from RU.

Broncos D was stifling....Peyton did not look good. Superbowl is simple - it's Panthers O-line vs Denver D-line. Peyton simply put running on fumes.

One wonders what a healthy Rothlesberger with Brown and Williams on the field could have done.

Just goes to show you that any QB looks bad when he gets no protections from his O-Line.

yeah and he did make some big plays to get within 2...but no idea where he was going with that pass. looked like gronk was open going to the corner. gronk was making plays should have gone to him. Brady was getting destroyed I almost felt bad for him. almost lol

Was definitelyrooting for 5 RU Super Bowl rings...

It seemed like Pats receivers had a lot of trouble getting open all game. Part of that could be Brady having no time to pass.

I'm happy for the Denver Broncos and Payton Manning. Unfortunately I feel that Carolina is too strong on both sides of the ball. It seems to me that #88 D. Thomas lost some speed this year. He can't create distance between himself and opposing CB's. I like CJ Anderson but 15 years ago he would not be a NFL RB. This leads me to my criticism of the Spread offense which is widely used in college football. It's killing certain positions like the power back or Full Back.

I'm rooting for Denver but without a Terrell Davis back there they will be at a disadvantage against Carolina. The Denver defenses does well against finesse offenses like NE, but I wonder how they'll perform against that big nasty offensive line from Carolina?

I was conflicted all game, I was a huge Raiders fan as a kid and the tuck play has always made me a Brady hater (all his success since just made it worse)...but yeah I wanted to hear Rutgers during the SB and have the 5 win rings.

for the first Q, I had to listen online in the car...on the Denver broadcast they mentioned Rutgers at least 3 times. Only players they mentioned the college so it was cool.
