Bryce Drew, 5 years, 12 mil. would be a HR.

I like your thinking on Drew. Seems like another young and hungry coach who won't tolerate losing for very long. Valpo has always been a very good team and although they are not in a top conference, the guy wins a ton of games. He played in the NBA and being from Indiana, I'm sure there's plenty of talent out there that know him and would give us a good look. You don't need 80 guys, like in football. You have a few good years and bring these kids in from the Midwest or wherever for that matter. They will love it here. I would add this guy to the top of the list. So I'm at Archie Miller, Bryce Drew as my young guns who are hungry and probably work their asses off. Or you go Ammaker or Lonegan who are a little older and more experienced. Those would be my 4 and I'd be happy with any of them. Maybe the younger guys are more attractive to Hobbs?

Don't pay him that kind of money

I think it might take $2 mill a year to get him? I'm sure other schools have courted him in the last few years. I don't know his salary now, but it's not going to be much less. $1.8 or $2 million is still a hefty salary. We need someone who will come here with no preconceived notions and work their ass off.

What I saw on the Internet is that Valpo signed a 10 year contract extension with Drew in 2013. Not to mention his dad's name in on their court. So now I'm positive that any chance of luring him to Rutgers would be a big payday or he wouldn't even take the phone call.

If he is interested it is a no brainer. Tend to think he is not or it would have most likely been already done.

TN has no state income tax
It sure doesn't. Plus Nashville is nice and as quiet as it is kept, they really support the hoops program at Vanderbilt. The school does and so do deep pocket boosters

It's a great job IMO.

GTECH is tougher IMO because of the depth of the conference but it's been done there before and you can get kids from anywhere to go to school in Atlanta.
