That's a replica not authentic. You can also see the bar inside the helmet restricting someone from actually wearing it. Not sure it's worth spending another $150 for the real McCoy. Not like you're going out to play pickup football in it.

Naturally, radio silence from @RutgersFB_EQ on Twitter since Saturday's debacle.
WTF is wrong with our fans always wanting their pound of flesh, someone's head & immediate public responses. It was a clothing sale that was run orderly, without Black Friday Walmart chaos of people trampling on each other, but logically needed more lines to run much quicker. It was far from a debacle. Get over it.

It was a joke, bro. Try to relax a little. I didn't use words like debacle. Others did. I didn't even go the clothing sale.

But it was a debacle. Those in charge should know that, correct? Just because it's our beloved school doesn't mean they are above criticism or they shouldn't try to correct their errors.

Standing on line for two hours, I heard many, many suggestions on how the event could have been run better. Here's hoping some of those suggestions get to the right people and they correct it.

I hope this an annual event and I think we are being a little too harsh seeing as this is the first time this event was run. I have faith it will be majorly improved upon next year or the next time they decide to have it.

They did have a similar sale a couple years ago, and there was no line at all. They weren't selling as much as they did this past weekend, but I can see why they weren't expecting such a huge line. I stopped by for that one on my way home from work and walked right up to the cardboard boxes they had lined up in front of the stadium filled with old jerseys, shirts, jackets, etc. I guess the demand for this stuff has significantly increased since then.

I agree that people are being too harsh. I was hoping to pick up a jersey but I ended up not even bothering to get on line. I was bummed about it, but there will be more of these sales in the future which I'm sure they will be more prepared for, and in the meantime I can get a jersey on ebay if I want. It's not the end of the world.

Would love to see pics of the shirts, jackets, pullovers, etc.

We know what the helmets and jerseys look like

Perhaps the only way they could make that go smoother would be to have a screen or a web page with up to the minute quantities of sizes of particular item.....because what made it take time was that the people had to check for sizes all the time.

I was among the first 30 people in the line and they ran out of two shirts in my size before it was my turn.
