Bullock-elevator pitch to the uninformed (me) why this is good for RU?

Problem is, it doesn't sound like he has guard skills, certainly not Big Ten level. Where in the world is he going to play? Don't tell me about his teammates. Offer them then if they are the ones that are Big Ten players.
Did you watch his tape?

Sell me. Why is this such a good deal/move for RU and the new coach?

Have no clue other than that he has played for a winner, he looks solid size-wise in the pics but the offer list (and I hate when others do this - lol) does not wow.

To be honest I was hoping/thinking he was taller, like 6'8".

G or small F in the B1G?
I like the possibility of being able to recruit Roselle Catholic a lot easier then we have in the past. We have a player from their team and kids will be more willing to give us a shot now that we have one of their own

Phil Sellers was 6' 5" and Charles Barkley was 6' 4 3/4". Both of those guys knew how to play around the basket and neither had a good shot. Charles didn't start on his HS team until his senior year. Additionally, he played the PF position in the NBA for many years and played against teams that had PGs taller than him.

I would love to build a team around either of those guys.

Also, he went to Auburn when Frank Thomas and Bo Jackson played in the same class. Chucky did not play football but the other two played Base Ball and FB. Chucky is numerio uno and then Bo per Chucky

Bullock can help RU....we need more players that can guard, take charges and pass the ball in the front court. As much as "star-gazers" look at things, Bullock is a player we don't have on the roster today....I don't see anyone with his strength/size and willingness to do the dirty work at a HS level, that's needed for college.

If and when the 2nd verbal happens, we will have similar doubts because kids that aren't rated by the system, can't be very good....until you run the tape and watch the kids skill-sets and ask, "do we have a player on the roster that can do that"?? If the answer is "no", then you find a role for the player.

I had a coach tell me years ago, if you have a player that is capable of playing defense or rebound, you have a chance to start and play. There are programs that are built first on defense and rebounding, not a rating system that is designed to project someone's draft capability in the future.

I really like the changes to adding a toughness and more defensive minded players in recruiting. Not everyone needs to be a 25PPG offensive star to improve RU...we need defensive-minded players and let the offense get generated elsewhere on the roster.
I agree and forget the Stars quotient
