Basketball Caleb McConnell, Ron Harper Jr. to play in 2024 NBA Summer League

Don't even lump that guy in with Ron and Caleb.
He played for RU and graduated from Rutgers, which will have some Rutgers fans inferring Cam's a Rutgers man

The UConn fan-base can claim he is a Husky and be right because he played the same length of time for their team as Spenser played for Rutgers and was drafted as a UConn player

Loyola of Maryland supporters might not claim Cam Spencer as one of their own, but they can point out his 3 years as a Greyhound was more than his next two stops as a college player combined and he became a good player under the tutelage of their basketball staff and might be able to claim that going to LOM put Spencer on the road to the NBA draft .

But this thread is about two players who can undoubtedly be called Rutgers men and I wish them the best in their summer league play hoping the way they play earns a shot to make the team that holds their rights and they prove worthy for a spot on the roster
Calab a Hornet and Ron on Boston's roster

Well said!

RHJ was made to be a bench player for this Celtics scheme. Hopefully they add him to their G-League roster and he can develop under Stevens' guidance.

Let's stay focused.

Hoping RHJ can get a two-way deal. I believe the Celtics already have 14 players set for their main roster so that would be his best case scenario.

its going to be very difficult for him unfortunately, but he has a chance. Celtics have 14 players under full contracts (O'Shae Brissett might return for the 15th slot if he can't find better in free agency, or could wait it out for a vet buyout) and 1 of 3 two-way contract slots filled. They also are over the 2nd apron, so they can't do multi-player for 1 trades. The Celtics could potentially opt to keep one of the young bigs (Watson/Enaruna/Tillie) and one of the highly talented developmental guards (Davidson/Harper/Ramsey). Harper's shooting will hamper him (along with everyone at SL), but he's also in the mold of Holiday and White (size, physical play, and ability to guard the forward position), especially if he can outdo Walsh and Springer in SL.

Summer League Roster
— Jordan Walsh (Full Contract)
— Neemias Queta (Full Contract)
— Jaden Springer (Full Contract)
— Baylor Scheierman (Full Contract)
— Drew Peterson (2-way #1)
— JD Davidson (2022 2nd round pick, freak athlete PG but needs to improve shooting)
— Anton Watson (this year's 2nd round pick and plays the position of biggest need due to Kristaps' injury)
— Tristan Enaruna (this year's priority UDFA signing and plays the position of biggest need due to Kristaps' injury)
— Jahmi'us Ramsey (another freak PG that needs to improve shooting)
— Ron Harper Jr. (would have to really impress. He's got regular season NBA experience with the Raptors and plays good defense and can rebound really well for a guard)
— Killian Tillie (plays the position of biggest need due to Kristaps' injury, but prob unlikely to beat out Enaruna or Watson)
— Jaelen House (more of a proper way to do nepotism LOL)
— Tyler Cook (another big man but likely not making it over the other 3 bigs who are better shooters)
