Calling all fans (season ticket holders, alumni, students, friends of Rutgers) - If you can make it on Wednesday 3/6 vs. Penn State, please attend.

This team has played their butts off all season and has pretty much been in every game except about 3 (SJU, Maryland, Purdue).

This program has a chance to reach .500 overall for what would be the first time in 13 years! Something most of us would have laughed at 6 weeks ago. The future is very bright and we have pretty much the whole roster back next year, and more. Our lone senior - Shaq Doorson deserves a good send away. Kid has come a long, long way since freshman year and worked his tail off losing all that weight.

Not to mention this is Penn State. Doesn’t matter if it’s basketball, football, women’s tennis or fencing, we need to bring it anytime we play those Joe Pa worshipers.

It probably won’t reach a sellout, but hopefully the AD pumps this game up over the next week.

Students also have some making up to do from this season, and no better time to do it then this game.

I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout for an oddly timed Sunday night game against Minnesota of all teams, so I expect a good crowd for our home finale against PSU, especially since there could be some significant B1G seeding on the line.

Man if we can get revenge against Iowa this weekend.. then it better be a sell-out next Wednesday!

Weekend games draw really well at the RAC against quality opponents and they also gave out a lot of freebies to football season ticket holders which they’re also doing for PSU, so hopefully we cap off the season with another solid crowd.

7pm weekday tips are tough for a lot of folks though.

Hopefully they don't sell them to Pen St fans or list them for sale on Stubhub

I know it's different around here where you have a lot of PSU alums who are happy to have the chance to see their team play once a year..... but their home attendance is truly awful so I wouldn't expect that many PSU fans. They don't give MBB the time of day in down years, and with a school that is excellent in many sports, I get it.

I don't want any of their fans in the 100s aside from the designated family/donor seats behind their bench.

Let them buy the 300s

Well said. At a minimum, I hope the student section in packed. But, I suspect not based on past experience. I hope I’m wrong.

Penn Sate has spring break next week so there might be a lot of Penn State students there.

just got my tickets. shit ton of seats avail in 200s.

i saw the section 104/Row C seats for sale at Vivid/Seat Geek that are always taken by visiting fans. $100 each.

Hate the people who buy those seats. They always show up late and can't find their seats, disturbing all the fans around them who are trying to watch the game. Security should hold them at the top of the section until the next Media time out.

That's what they do in tennis. I remember them doing it for the lower level at the RAC too, but things may have changed with the new security company.

To clarify -- in the lower level of the RAC, security still holds fans to the top of the section until a dead ball. But a dead ball (foul, out of bounds, etc) could be only a few second break in the action.

I'm suggesting that security hold late arriving fans (other than season ticket holders who know where their seats are) at the top of the section until a full media time out. That way they have time to find their seats. Alternatively, security should check their tickets and tell them "you're 5 rows down, 6 and 7 seats in on the left side".

I don't think they will do that. It will cause a logjam and tick off too many people.

Yeah that’s where I’d be...Piscataway...much better than Florida, Mexico, or an Island, for spring break.

What % of college students still go to those Spring Break destinations?

I've heard much less these days

Most just go home

I’d venture to say that’s not correct as what I’ve seen/heard from friends with college-aged kids, both personally and on social media, is that they’re still going in a big way. Kids go over the world now for spring break, not just south, because people have plenty of cash to spend these days.
