and still qualify for play his junior and senior season if he sits a year?

Is so, if I were him and his parents I'd shut him down and do it. Rettig could start for half the 1A teams in the country.

Flood is and awful HC, whi h is clear to anyone and has no integrity. He proved that with his QB decision. And his gaff with contacting professors is making a lot more sense in shedding some light on his integrity. "Nice guy" my ass.

Why limit your thread title to Rettig? Maybe you should title it "Can players transfer to 1A? Which I assume you mean FBS? Yes he could sit a year, and come back for just 1 Seasons, if one conisders this yr already burned. But Lets say I am an FBS coach....would I really want a kid that walks away every time he doesnt get his way? FCS would be the more likely route where he could get 2 seasons. Its two games....chill

Btw fans can switch and be immediately available to cheer for another team if they are that disgusted with a program.

Let's say a kid wants to be some type of specialized scientist. He gets a full ride to some school with the understanding that he will be able to work with a top professor in the field. When he gets to the school he finds out that the professor actually picked another kid to work with. Perhaps the other kids is smarter, maybe he just wasn't the right fit with the professor. Either way, the kid doesn't want to give up his dream so he transfers to another school. Is that kid a quitter too? Maybe sometimes "walking away" is what needs to be done.

BTW, this is nothing to do with Rettig but I think some people fail to appreciate just how much this means to these kids and sometimes regardless of how hard you work it won't be enough in your current situation.

It's game 2 of the season. If I'm Rettig I'm thinking I will see the field at some point this year. Questions of transferring at this point are pretty knee jerkish.

I agree, Flood's integrity should be questioned. Great leaders with integrity demonstrate extreme humility. No they are not cupcakes, they have strong drive and commitment for success too.

Humility begins with the ability to consider other views and change when appropriate. Flood has shown he is bullheaded first with Nova and now with Laviano. He has shown he is arrogant by ignoring directives to not contact professors. Arrogance is not an attribute of someone with integrity.

Some on this board have assured us that Rettig will get his chance; I hope they are right but I doubt it. I expect Flood to say, if asked, over and over: Next week, Laviano gives us our best chance to go 1-0.

I feel for Rettig and I do hope he gets his chance. If not. why should he sit out his career? And more than that why shouldn't Russo reconsider if he believes Flood will stick with Laviano until Laviano graduates?

Great leaders also don't care about the opinions of petty people

RUfan121, you're eligible to transfer to another fan board this season.

I'll hang and wait until Flood's fired (it's coming soon) and maybe you dolts will follow him to the promise land in D3 football.

Let's get out of Happy Valley and see what we have at QB. Rettig may end up the starter at some point. Why is the world would he leave? $$$$

Ok, another intelligent thread. Rettig is backup for a game and now we come up with the topic of him transferring after all of 2 games in a Rutgers uniform. Get a grip.

It is amazing what some people post on this board. I really have to stop reading this board after a loss.

If Rettig does transfer to another team, I certainly hope the OP follows him.
