Carino: "all signs point toward tampering"

Watch the Yeboah highlights from last year.

EO will get out of your head real quick. Completely turnkey situation.
I know Yeboah can play. I just thought maybe there would be plenty of chatter and articles flowing (assuming the quiet period is over)? Two more potential contributors for 2019 could make an impact. I would have thought since before yesterday; we were at least making contact with players who could fill the one vacancy? But now that we have two spots open; what do we got??

I love your analytic packages. My favorite is fg% from inside on the right box on Tuesdays when eating dinner at tillett dining hall.
It's important to occasionally take a deep dive into the advanced stats.
I am curious if anyone has a link. No offense, but your access or lack of isn't really a concern. My interest is more to see what lacrosse transfers are in it.

Guess it's not public since it isn't readily available.
It is not publicly available. If it was some fans would be emailing kids like crazy.

Somebody tell Carino that tampering occurs in about 90 percent of all transfers. Actually he's probably an experienced enough CBB reporter to know that.

Also, I don't think that there is a rule against a player recruiting another player to transfer to their school.
while he's on the roster, no rule about another program recruiting him ?
from what I found But might be outdated because it's from a 2012 article : >It's already an NCAA violation for a coach or university representative to make contact with a student enrolled elsewhere without written permission from the athletic director at the athlete's school.<
So if another programs official contacted EO, without permission, it's tampering.

More than likely 3rd parties were involved if Eugene didn't just decide to transfer on his own without being advised to.

There is absolutely a rule about it, as you discovered.

There is also a rule about impermissible benefits and we know that gets violated. Also, more often than not, it is the student-athlete who makes contact with a coach.

The easiest way to avoid the tampering issue is for a player to have their HS or travel team coach contact coaches at schools and ask them if they'd be interested in Johnny Basketball if they get their release/enter the transfer portal. This happens about as frequently as actual tampering.
