well, I wouldnt say that. makes it sound like she wasnt a top player before. she has 200+ caps...so it's not like she was a nobody, and she has been one of the most valuable players on the WNT for several years.

but I do agree with you that since the world cup, she's been on a tear that rivals anything we have ever seen in soccer...

Correct. The only reason most don't realize it is because ESPN, SI, and everyone else, had other "sweethearts" they chose to run with during both Olympic games.
