No indication what Rutgers will do but I wouldn't expect anything before the criminal charge is officially dropped later today.
  2. Dan Duggan ‏@DDuggan21 No official word from Rutgers on Carroo's status
  3. Dan Duggan ‏@DDuggan21 Carroo's lawyer said he thinks Rutgers should reinstate Carroo now that a resolution has been reached.
  4. Dan Duggan ‏@DDuggan21 Restraining order against Leonte Carroo has been dismissed. Attorneys say simple assault charge expected to be dismissed this afternoon.

I'm sure all the Internet tough guys and girls (not on this site) that called a good kid every name in the book will apologize for their horrid remarks.

This. I'm sure the same people will root against him for the rest of the season for ruining their argument on the Internet.

Good news for sure. Could add the spark this team desperately needs.

I believe that it was Caroo's posse that people were criticizing, not necessarily Caroo himself. His attorney was smart to separate his court proceedings from the rest of the group.

No, they'll go back to ignoring Rutgers until they have another chance for faux outrage.
As I noted on premium, I seem to remember more people saying they wanted the process to play out. Well, it played out. I think the "faux outrage" was more the exception rather than the rule.

Good for Leonte if this is the case. I honestly hope that the justice system is truly prevailing and that the truth has been told, from all sides, so that we can truly put this behind us at this time. Booooo for me - and many others - listening to the people who were throwing information out here, on Facebook, and/or privately, not solely because it was false, but for the way in which they were going about doing things. Some posts were, looking back at them now, not only shockingly off-base but they were downright nasty.

There were a few people who weren't in the "process playing out" camp. None of us were there, but a few people acted like they were eyewitnesses.

I criticized his not listing to the people who told him not to go out there.
Also said I understood the reason he did, but added he'd have to face the consequences of his actions and supported the suspension.
You can bet if a 3 string player did the same, he wouldn't be supported as strongly as Carroo was by some here. Even if he was considered to have excellent character.
It would be let the legal system play out and then reinstate him or punishing him further.

I was and still am for letting the courts decide Carroo's guilt or innocence before reinstating him.
Looks like criminal charges are being dismissed and with that Carroo should be reinstated.
How other schools treat incidents like Carroo was involved in, doesn't make it right to turn a blind eye when a RU players is arrested no matter how much he means to the program.

Carroo had good reason to go out there in my opinion, even though he was advised not to.
But it's the court's decision if he broke the law while he was out there, not mine .
