With this years loss of a junior year and Sophomore year CB's in Barnwell and Boggs, The team currently has 4 freshmen CB's . Assuming that we take 2 more CB's, that means that next year the team will be loaded with 4 Sophomore and 4 true freshmen CB's.
That's really not good for balance by year. What steps does the staff take to try to balance out the classes at CB in the upcoming years? Next year you can redshirt 2, which means in a few years there will be 4 Jr year CB's, 2 Soph year CB's and 2 RS Freshmen year CB's. Better balance, but still not ideal because 4 CB's are in the same class.
I guess you can get better balance by going after JUCO or 5th year transfers this year.
