My buddy went to countless Giants games in the 80's by going to the stadium, get a feel for supply/demand talking w/ scalpers, and wait until the roar of the crowd during opening kickoff. Any scalper with tickets viewed a sale as found money, he (and a friend) got great seats for usually half face value, or less.

Is there ever a worry nowadays of buying fake tickets from a scalper ?
