Chop for Change back of helmet?

I’m working on some concepts for the back of the helmet that I will submit to the AD.

If disregard, I will contact my Congressman

In June 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against the use of race-conscious affirmative action in college admissions. The decision, which involved cases from Harvard University and the University of North Carolina, determined that considering race as a factor in admissions violated the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. The Court's majority opinion emphasized that admissions policies must be race-neutral and should focus on individual achievements rather than racial categories.

If Rutgers wants to disregard this ruling, I know a slew of good attorneys. Rutgers Admin went down the racial path before, don’t do it again

Rutgers aspires to be Minnesota in football? Not a high bar. I don’t think it’s possible. Rutgers wants to be Cal Berkeley. Will Rutgers be booted from the Big Ten? TBD

Crickets lol. Not wasting my time here. People believe what they want to believe. Typical these people scream in your face, or run away when presented with facts

Completely expected. OP came here with an agenda. If you look at the original post and subsequent posts by the OP, it’s obvious.
Too funny- agree 100% - OP starts it- knows what he is doing, calls for a lock and then has a talk with himself at 2am and starts to cry in his lonely drink that he has no friends until the bartender cuts him off lol

It shouldn’t be locked
It’s part of the uniform and part of the team culture
Fans can either like it or not . I assume most like it and support the team

Big Ten warmup unis had things like STOP HATE prominently shown the past three years. If you asked one of the hoopsters, they coudn't tell you where the hate is. CHOP was equivication as the Rutgers football haters wanted Sciano to make a statement so he went with this vague tip of the hat to social justice. Its time to stop. The NFL is sick with this stuff. To see the endzones in London this Sunday with END RACISM.
and Stop Hate on some players' helmets was disgraceful. Go Woke. Go Broke.
The NFL went broke?

The OP himself was excited to try to get it locked. That is what’s so funny.
Someone else so upset with end racism and stop hate

The stop hate has been very big for a while now. It has been used for both race and religion

I just can’t believe the OP and a few others are so triggered by it

I think I do understand: Having anti-racism things at sporting events is offensive because white people should not be reminded that the majority-black teams playing are comprised of people who are not always happy with the way white people treat black people.

There is zero irony in hating it when athletes draw attention to what they perceive as hate. There is no hate and I hate when athletes don’t stay in their lane.

(This is sarcasm.)

Lol welp...might be time to look forward to basketball season.... people are posting about "chop for change" pissing them off and George Floyd having a fentanyl overdose...

I agree, racism exits, current affirmative action says so. I don’t live in this little bubble 24/7

A recent Supreme Court ruling has ruled this as unconstitutional. Take me to court Rutgers

Rutgers wants to go there, why be political? NIL is here, cutting off half of its donors, forever in mediocrity. Uber liberal faculty, state government prevents autocracy. Rutgers doesn’t get it and never will.

Back of helmet non-PC suggestions: Scarlet Knights, Chop, New Jersey
So you’re saying some of our fans won’t donate to NIL because of a message of togetherness on a football helmet? We already know how certain members of this fanbase feel because it’s right there on the protected board where they all hang out instead of working. I just didn’t think our fans besides them were not just cheap but racist too.

Just have to understand that America has a majority of people with fair skin... Only about 12% people with dark skin...some of these feelings are really just human nature, with all of the efforts to INCLUDE the minority population in the mainstream (notice DEI is a dirty word in certain circles now) there will be push back from those that aren't able to think critically and feel that they are losing some type of power. Blame integration, and the recent attempts to treat everyone fairly. It's a change from how things were before. People don't like change. Hence the maga movement taking advantage of these feelings and gaining political power. You'll have these types of feelings with any majority group that experiences an influx of a different group of people. Many black people don't like integration either... It Will get better as the world comes closer together and we eliminate some of ancient ideas used by people in power to indoctrinate populations and rally the simple minded to go fight and die in wars for those that wanted to conquer and gain even more power and wealth...may take a century or two or five lol but the world is getting smaller, no choice but to come together...

It’s a political statement . There were some fans here that said they would be done with the program if they ever made political statements. Those fans are still here
This topic is fair game on this board since it’s part of the team uniform .
Chop for change is not political in any way. There are only two types of people who object to a call to end racism:

1. Racists (duh).

2. People who take a very simple and straightforward, obviously good message and, due to their obsession with politics, make it political in their own heads by reading waaaay too much into it - by adding pretext that essentially corrupts the good message. For such folks, absolutely everything is political. But just because people have been brainwashed into making every little thing political doesn't make every little thing actually political.

Everybody else, but those 2 types of people, be they Republican, Democrat or Independent, sees it and thinks "good message 'cause racism is a bad thing". Because good people, regardless of their political affiliation or ideology, do not support racism.

Pretty simple.

You may have summed it up better than any politician or media ever could. I also assume, and may be wrong, you are a white male somewhere between 30-55
I am not sure of your political lenings.

But I have seen some people on here that are Republican and most likely voting Trump- say, "it is nothing new and the message is good"
And others- someone brought up "stop hate" has anyone seen the commercials- it has been about race, religion, gender.

OMG- to be upset at anyone saying "stop hate" is insane.

Mildone for president? 🙂 I will campaign on making hookers and blow great again, and never going back… to a time when there aren’t at least two hookers in every garage.

More seriously, I have no political leanings. I strongly dislike the entire concept of political parties and think all political ideologies are total BS that are collectively made up only to control how people vote, as opposed to having any real meaning. Mostly, these days, ideologies are used as a weapon with which each side can beat their “opponents” over the head by stereotyping roughly half the electorate as if every R or every D or every I thinks alike.

My views on various politicized issues are all over the map, highly nuanced, and could never fit into anybody’s BS ideology.

Phew, always good to get that off my chest. 😀

No comment on the age range I see 😉

I fairness (and I mean this as a compliment) you seem to have a youthful outlook.

Not saying if I’m white or male either. 😀

As for my youthful outlook, I am clearly a case of arrested development, arrested somewhere around 13 or so. Grow responsible, not up, is my motto.
