Chris Partridge Must be the Next Rutgers Coach

people keep saying they want a HC with a proven track record. My question is even at $3 mill/yr why would a coach come to RU which looks like an absolute dumpster fire from the outside looking in? Just because a group of 5 coach is making $800k doesnt mean he’ll just jump at the first p5 offer for 3 mill he gets. These coaches chose the right opportunity as they know that if they drop the ball, they rarely ever get another chance at a p5 job.

Partridge is the choice because he simply doesnt care about taking on a challenging task, in fact, he embraces it and thrives. At Paramus Catholic he took over a program that was a perpetual bye week for bosco, bergen, st peters and st joes. Within 3 years he was top dog and talked about gunning to not only compete, but overtake them from day 1. Chris Partridge A) Wants the job B) embraces the challenge C) knows how to recruit and develop a culture that kids want to be apart of D) he will bring energy, enthusiasm and excitement to a program severely lacking all of the above. E) he’d ultimately win, and win BIG.

He’d piss alot of people off and make alot of big ten coaches very uncomfortable with how hes taking 4*’s they want but he is exactly what we need right now. Some of you have to ask yourselves, do we want to keep doing the same thing and getting the same results? Or do we want to shoot for the moon? I know my choice and it’s Chris Partridge

Such an absurd statement lol. The guy recruirs studs, hes dynamic, kids love him. Why hasnt he gotten in trouble for any wrongdoings in his entire college coaching career?

I agree with you. But no way Hobbs takes a risk on partridge. Hobbs job is on the line with this next hire. He won’t be risky. Nor will be able to “sell” a position coach to the donors or administration.
Also, I don’t think Hobbs gets what is needed to recruit in NJ. He will look at overall resume rather than personality. It’s how we ended up with Ash. Hobbs is not a risk taker not attracted to flashy coaches.

As for scumbags, I'd take Petrino, Kiffin or Paterno (and he's dead). We playing in a league of about 130 teams that are top tier. Getting taken to the woodshed by everyone must feel like Dr. Ford / Kavanaugh drama regardless of who you believe.

What postseason are we eligible for... ?

I think hobbs job is safe regardless. I think out adminstration is veryyyyy happy with the money hes raising. I would completely understand why hed be trigger shy on a guy like partridge but at the same time you just gotta ask yourself who has the biggest ceiling and highest floor of anyone we could possibly hire? Biggest ceiling, partridge imo. Highest floor? Schiano imo

Kiffin can coach offensive and recruit but he would probably would never coach anywhere that wasn’t warm all year round. His wife loves parading those sweater puppies around in bikinis at all times.
