Congrats! I hear a lot of good things about this kid!
FWIW - so have I. Kid was not really on anyone's radar. Proverbial late bloomer. Looks like a DB at the next level.

Don't know why some try to make Izen sound like a bad bet, but I can't claim he's an all American lock.
Think the poster Legendary Irish might have said something close to the truth when he/she said:

On the numbers , are any for a kid coming out of HS truly accurate ?
I'll just hope they are close to the real statics and welcome CI aboard .

Oh Brother - and you know this? How the hell do you know a 2 star recruit with no P5 offers is a "Baller". He may turn out ot be good but it a high risk recruit - You have no idea what you are talking about.
Have you seen this kid play? How the hell do you know if he is "high risk" recruit?

Maybe if you looked at more than just the offers you would know something. There are videos and articles about this kid (some behind paywalls) that tell a lot more Have you seen Erasmus Hall play this year? Sounds like you're the ignorant one here.
No - Just someone who is tired of drinking the Kool aid from posters on this board who try and project an image that they are in the know. A simple welcome to the recruit would have been appropriate but you made statements that you have no idea are true. But I am sure they made you feel important.
Izien was offered by Rutgers on Saturday and quickly made the decision to commit. However, he has seen quite a few of his teammates go through the recruiting process.
“I've gotten many different type of responses from teammates about the recruiting process,” Izien said. “I’ve been told it’s stressful and it’s the best time of their life too. The best advice I've received is from my teammates Shamel (Lazarus), Sean Ryan, and Kessawn (Abraham). They all told me just be patient and make the best decision for you.”
“I’ve talked to Kessawn about Rutgers. He's told me things like how the school is very committed to getting you there, especially once they offer you. Also, the staff and players are always in contact with each other. I plan on taking my official visit to Rutgers sometime after the season is over.”

Well you really shouldn't be calling a recruit high risk in a welcoming thread. Then when describing said recruit you used the 2 star no P5 offer in a derogatory connotation. You made be fed up and I get it(I truly do). But there's a time and a place to express those feelings. A recruit welcoming thread simply isn't the time or place.
we pay so we can voice our opinion, so far with this staff we have beaten 1 d- team, i have been a ticket seaso holder for 40 years and been attending games close to 50 years. i have seen all the ups and downs, listened to all of the projections of coming sucsess . this staff could be the worst. this coach still thinks hes at ohio st or wisconcin, i see no improvement, players are regressing and players from the past regime are the only bright spots so far this year. we went through ash sticking with loviano now we have bolin. he wont give gio a sniff. hopefully all the negativity will force him to use gio. this is my last post on this kool ade board
Comments are allowed because nobody but nobody is impressed by beating out Sacred Heart for a recruit. If we know he's a late bloomer, how come NOBODY else does? Are we the only school so bad that we have to take a chance on him? If so, yikes. (Not my feeling, but a very valid view.)
Again, this is NOT to say I agree with the comment to which you refer, but I will vehemently disagree that the comment should not be allowed. That brings us to thought police territory, where all of our recruits are diamonds in the rough and everybody else is taking chances on criminals and locker room cancers. No thanks.
While I agree with both of your sentiments about RU recruiting in general as well as certain posters making inferences about the quality of recruits based off "highlight" tape, the problem that many posters have is that this specific thread is intentionally a WELCOME thread with the hope that said recruit or his family come to the board to see it...
If you want to negatively comment on the recruiting there are plenty of other threads on this board to take out that frustration...
