Remember Harris getting drafted by the Packers back when Favre was still throwing passes. Read about the bullets Harris couldn't handle in practice and saw he was cut quickly after. I wish he would have made an impact with the Packers but made himself a hell of a career with the Bengals. But agree with the article that he wasn't their best pick but as a 7th rounder you couldn't expect a star either so not the worst pick.

Just because he's not playing TE he is far from a bust. Draft nicks might say you could have got him as a free agent, but I'll go with the opinion of actual coaches

from the link:
"Harris (seventh round, 2007) never played for the Packers but has appeared in 95 career games, including the last 91 for the Bengals as their long snapper."

From the Bengals:
Harris has been a paragon of reliability as Cincinnati’s long snapper and is set to enter his seventh Bengals season in 2015 ... Since signing as a free agent in October 2009, has played every game (including postseason) and has had no unplayable snaps ... Regular-season and postseason snap total now is at 882 (467 punts, 415 place kicks) ... Has 15 career special teams tackles, plus two in postseason ... Snapped successful fake punts that helped key 2012 wins at Jacksonville and Kansas City ... Had game experience with Houston prior to joining Bengals.

Guy was very critical of schiano once he got into the nfl. He had a few rather negative things to say about the program.
