Confirmed by my ticket rep: NO single game Mens Basketball tickets will be available this season.

Exactly the same in Sec. 213, whoever has the 6 seats beside me sells them every game. I have never seen the same person twice in those seats.

Ticket scalping has evolved, as we all know. It’s not just the guys hovering around on game days in the parking lots and walkways. That hustle has been legitimized.

Row L?

The seats behind me in 213 are almost always visiting fans and it’s extremely annoying. Some of these people are just losers from NJ who root for teams like Indiana, Michigan etc.

Gotten into it was a few of them over the years haha.

Damn the bathroom lines are even going to suck for the Wagner game. 😉
No. 1st TV timeout half 2….minutes whistle blows after 16:00 you are gone. You let your row know next whistle they are getting up. As long as you can get your business done in 1 minute you are good.

If you are in the high 300s you might not be able to wash.

That’s the row allright.

My favorite is when visiting fans sitting there try to get the RU fans to stop standing and shouting. Unfortunately met some complete tools there over the years.

This 100%. I'm a master at the run, piss, wash, run method. Usually takes place at the 4 minutes time out for me before the half.

In 5 years I’ll be looking at the 3 pee plan

1. Before tip
2. That last media in 1H you use
3. 12 minute left in 2H

…..and I dont drink!

UPDATE!

Called to purchase additional ticket for the Rutgers Washington game next week.
I asked when single game basketball tickets would be on sale.
Rep said there will be no single game seats. All tickets are sold to season ticket holders.

Buckle up.
Secondary market is gonna be rough this season... not looking forward to it for my trip back to NJ

The athletic department is holding tickets back. Doesn't mean they'll be sold to the public but there are not 6,500 season tickets. Frankly, they should reduce the number of student tickets. They've proven that that there's just not widespread interest among most undergrads.
THE HORROR! The horror of what you say!

If I've learned anything from reading these boards it's that the whole fan experience should be tailored to and for the students (whether they care to show up or not) and not the actual paying customers. What you say flies in the face of confirmed and accepted board scripture written by fan experience scholars.

HOW DARE YOU SIR! How DARE you!

😁

Has anyone on the "season ticket interest" list heard anything from the ticket office?

I added my name to it months ago (along with several thousand others obviously). Yet, with just 1 month to go, I haven't heard a word from the ticket office. I just need 1 ticket and I don't care if it's in the very last row.

Seems odd, and downright rude, to create an "interest list" and then not at least send out an email on how remaining season tickets will be distributed. I was assuming it'd be handled similar to football parking lots where we'd be given a time slot to buy based on PP level (fwiw, I have 103 priority points).

Very frustrating.

It seems that a Big Ten team should play in a bigger arena.

Illinois plays in an arena twice as big and student and season tickets sold out in 28 minutes. Rutgers could obviously do the same.

There’s zero shot you’re going to hear anything. Thousands of people on the list dating back probably 2 years now. There just aren’t enough seats.

Plus ... 103 points is good, but for perspective, we have 170+ points (by 1 calculation called "Priority Points) that only ranks 520th of 36,000, and close to 200 points in a separate calculation (a calculation called "Priority Points - Snapshot" - 2 different calculations are given on the Account Profile page - not sure which one to use) that ranks about 700th of 27,000. And we only got this season's season tickets ... well ... not sure how (they had taken away our 100 level seats from last year - described above and replaced them with 200 Level seats).

As stated above there are probably 1500+ account holders on the waiting list (account holders, not # of tickets - which would be more) ... and no tickets available, and no one is giving up their season tickets. Heck, 2 years ago, fewer than 20 seats were not renewed ... that was 2 years ago.

Obviously, best of luck and after what I have gone through, I am really empathetic, and really rooting for anyone trying to get season tickets to do so. But for at least this year, those without season tickets are SOL.

That sucks ... somehow I got the impression there was about a thousand or so not sold last season. Oh well.

I believe they do hold some back (other than the student tickets of course) but they’re sold through SeatGeek as the ticketing partner for the AD.

While possible, I am not so sure of this.

I am certain with the game vs Princeton at the PruCenter blocks were withheld by the PruCenter for ticketmaster. And that will probably happen with the game at MSG also.

But this year, with the off-the-charts demand for season tickets for hoops, and such a relatively small arena, with even the big wigs and the football program having their usual allotments cut back, I would be very surprised if this was the case for this year's basketball season. And ... if true ... any and all RU fan ticketholders, and prospective ticket holders, should b e outraged.

During the summer before the start of last season, I bought what appeared to be the last two season ticket seats that were next to each other at the very top of the 300s. At the time, there were a smattering of single seats still available throughout the arena, maybe a dozen or so. I'd imagine most, if not all of those were grabbed before the start of last season.

Once Dylan Harper committed in December, I really doubt any of those were left.

Another poster had said that the basketball program clawed back many seats this year that had previously been reserved for administrators or the football program and sold them as season tickets, too, and there's another 1500 accounts on the waiting list even still (not tickets, accounts).

I had gotten on the football season ticket waiting list in 2007, and stayed on it through 2008, until getting tickets after the expansion was completed in 2009. The only communication from Rutgers I remember getting in that time was asking if I still wanted to stay on the waiting list in 2008.

Last year the season was not going to be good. Lose 2 starters late with no time to recruit. No one expected that team to do anything, this year is a totally different story. We bought an extra pair of season tickets last year to make sure we had them for this year. If you wanted to guarantee tickets for this year, you really needed to get them last year.

I heard they were going to do a ticket redistribution once the RAC renovation was complete. Who knows where that stands now. But my guy in the major gifts department told me there are plenty of ticket holders in the 100s section who give nothing to RU except the seat donation and will be pushed back once this was complete based on priority points. Could all be changing though with Hobbs out...who knows.

Yes - 2023-24 season ticket sales weren't just about 2023-24, but 2024-25.

As of mid-May 2023:
- We looked like a tournament team at that point - Spencer hadn't yet entered the portal, and people were high on 4-star Griffiths and transfer Fernandes coming in and Mag returning from injury. Biggest questions at that point were whether Omoruyi would withdraw from the draft, and if Mulcahy would return for his 5th year.
- Top 2 five-star HS recruit Ace Bailey was committed for 2024-25
- Top 100 four-star HS recruit Lathan Sommerville was committed for 2024-25
- Top 2 five-star HS recruit Dylan Harper was a Rutgers lean, and Bailey was working to recruit him
- Season tickets were going fast

I got my tickets in July 2023, and there were very few left at that point.

Then Dylan Grant committed in Aug, and Dylan Harper committed in Dec. Suddenly we had a class with 2 of the Top 3 HS players (after Flagg reclassified in August) and a class ranked Top 5 nationally, and everyone wanted tickets.... but they were already gone at that point.

Looks like I'll be on one of Seatgeek's best customers this year.

Just got 2 tix for the Wagner game section 216, row B ($50 each plus fees). Might have to take out a 2nd mortgage before the seasons over, but it'll be worth it.

The 100s sections will be expanded and luxury boxes added, no doubt.
There will be lots of negative press if they push out long time season ticket and parking tag buyers who were patrons through all the many very lean years.
Maybe those folks will get reparation payments in lieu of their seat renewals for all the suffering they went through starting with the Littlepage era.
Are there professors and school administrators and local politicos who are comp’d seats at the 100s level?

Careful with that row. there' somewhat of an obstructed view with the glass that separates that section from the 100 level. It's not awful but it's not ideal.

Yes, I hate that glass. Not the end of the world but I find it annoying.

lol but that's pretty good value i think that's close to what the ticketholder is paying per game anyway at this point.

but yeah i'm guessing secondary market will be crazy this year. it's usually not awful unless you are talking 100s for B1G games when we are good and then it can get insane.
