Congrats to Cole Snyder -Committed to EMU

We would have been 10-2 if he was our QB this year!

Err, not really. Buffalo's offense was a hot mess this year. EJ Warner is a good example of a QB who can make things happen, but a QB cannot put the entire offense on his back to win that many games with a bad OL, mediocre to poor receivers and no running game.

I still say he would do better to quit football and become a NASCAR driver. That or else open a pretzel company.

Snyder was getting benched and losing playing time at Buffalo. Kid’s numbers were nothing to write home about.

Goes to show you how Irrelevant Vanderbilt is in the SEC.

GO RU

Not too bad for “someone who was getting benched and loosing playing time” we could only dream of a QB capable of throwing for over 2,000 yards in a single season…

You have no clue what you are talking about. Snyder was hobbled, and the transfer QB Ogbonna was brought in on run plays.
Here are Ogbonna's passing numbers for 2023. Facts matter.

82138.1

He is probably laughing all the way to the bank while he cashes his six figure check….not a bad day at work MAC >>>> SEC 😂
Did he commit or just get offered? They are probably looking at multiple QBs which is what RU should be doing but oh well.

Why is he leaving Buffalo?
They ran out of wings?

IDK. Maybe they see the transfer QB as the future of the program? The transfer QB was very effective at the "R" part of the run-pass option. But geez, his completion percentage was only 38%. But we know this story, don't we? When you have a RPO QB, it's quite all right to have a low completion percentage, because he makes up for it with his running yards, right, right? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. And you know the story, that 38% will be 39% next year, and that's incremental improvement. He may have a 42% completion percentage by his final year, and that is huge--a 10% improvement.

Have we heard a similar story before? Nah.

But a different answer, maybe he is testing the waters to see what is out there. He had a great year in 2022, and as noted above, not so great this year. If he gets in the right program with decent coaching, OL and receivers, maybe he will thrive. Or maybe he will not. Still think he was a better option than the one the coaches went with at RU.
