Congrats to Rutgers Women's Track & Field on winning the Metropolitan Outdoor Championship title!

Rutgers captured 190 points to lead the 12-team field on its home turf. St. John's, last season's champions, finished in second with 162 points, while Manhattan placed third racking up 120 points.

RU Men's Track won it as well...setting a few school records in the process.

The men also won which is not the big story. There were two school records set- Chris Mirabelli broke a 21 year old record in the Javelin with a throw of 250'. He is a returning All American and now has the best throw of the season in the Big Ten. I think he is the defending Big ten champion.
Emeka Eze set a new school record in the Triple jump at 52'2.75
and his winning long jump of 25'7.25 is the second best in school history- 5 inches short of Corey Crawford's record set last year.
Eze won the Big 10 long jump 2 years ago and now has the best jumps in both events from Big 10 schools this season.
