What's interesting in watching the team is that no matter whether a shot is taken early in the possession or late in the possession it's almost always a shot that does not result from an effective ball rotation. It's almost as if the players know that "...coach will yell at us if we shoot too early in the possession, so as long as we hold it long enough we can chuck it from anywhere..." so they just wait long enough to justify a bad shot (except when the guy binging the ball down court just decides to take it himself) rather than using the time to set up a good look. It's so rare that a good look results from effective ball movement or even a one-off sharp pass. Lacking a credible big man inside scoring threat like a Devin Thomas of course hurts since there really isn't a great target to get the ball to low, but there simply is no excuse for a team consistently looking like they have no idea how to work as a team to set up a good look.
