Stole our thunder. Now if we are lucky enough to beat them the media will say ho hum Rutgers, they beat a bad PSU team big deal. How did they lose to Temple. I mean they looked BAD.

Yea they did. My post is sort of dry humor because of the many conspiracy theories that us fans come up with :-) but there is a grain of truth about if we win that game.Temple's defense looked good.
I look at it a different way: Temple beating PSU, 2 weeks prior to us playing them, may have been the "kiss of death" for us. I surely hope not, obviously, but it would just seem to fit into the narrative of football program over the years.
Its certainly puts pressure on us. Its won thing to lose to PSU. Its another to lose to a PSU team that just got dominated by Temple.I look at it a different way: Temple beating PSU, 2 weeks prior to us playing them, may have been the "kiss of death" for us. Welcome back guy[thumb2]
I don't think it really matters other than taking a bit of the luster off any potential victory. It would be a hit more to Franklin's image to lose to two local teams.
I thought PSU was looking at a 9-3 this year. They still could but unless Temple's D is really special it sure puts a lot potential losses in play.
Thanks! Great to be back for football season!
BTW - Temple had a top 25 D, in 2014, AND returned ALL 11 starters.
OSU would never downplay beating Michigan no matter how much Michigan is down that year.
The same should always be the case or RU with PSU.

They are going to LOSE next Saturday and Buffalo will be motivated to do a TEMPLE on them tomorrow. Its certainly puts pressure on us. Its won thing to lose to PSU. Its another to lose to a PSU team that just got dominated by Temple.
Obviously they didnt lose on purpose. But if PSU wins, it will be much better for them than if they had beat Temple and lost to us.
knightfan - PSU is getting nowhere near 9 wins. Northwesten looked good. Illinois looked good. RU and MD easily handled bad opponents. Alot of games that people were inking in as wins for PSU might end up with PSU not even being favored.
