I don't disagree that the media will gin up certain stories based on the initial reaction or clicks it gets - and it's often based on a broad range of factors, not limited to sexism or race for example. Trust me- I have been on the other end of this in my line of work.There is a reason why this story is being somewhat suppressed..yes JMHO

Certain stories can be used or not used based on what outrage it can create. For this one it wont give the Jemele Hills of the world enough bang for their buck
I just don't agree that this is one of those times. I think it's a local story covered locally that involves two people. The program oversight angle isn't that big because the program isn't very good or high profile. Is that fair? No. But a dear old friend of mine once told me that life isn't fair and that "fair" is just a weather report.
