According to Pikiell. I guess that means the ankle is not broken. Or does it just mean that they have no x-ray equipment to determine if it's broken.

I predict he will miss the next two games but then be back but limited due to missed practice. Definitely not what we needed. Why do we deserve this

even if just a sprain, going to be tough to get him playing for Penn State and sometimes these things can nag if not rested

Hopefully just a sprain. He can wrap and tape that up , take some pain killers and be good to go. But I don't expect close to 100 percent.

Hawk could be right. Pikiell is arbitrary disciplinarian, if his minutes are limited, he may just bring him in ten minutes into the game.

I have no knowledge of the extent of the injury at all, just have seen these injuries treated much better than 15-20 years ago.....they can get the swelling down and aspirin into the system and keep him off his feet for a couple of days.

In hindsight, would have been better to sit him the whole game. Then he wouldn't have been injured.

Corey needs to be living in the sparkling new RWJ Barnabas Athletic Performance Center for the next 5 days.

BK- please implore whoever makes the decision to send more athletic trainers on the road. It's embarrassing for a B1G team to have a guy go down and one guy goes to help. My high school had more trainers.

is there an unlike button for this post
Bizarre. He's arguing for total suspension or no suspension. Everything but what Pikiell did. Makes no sense, but then again, I've always had more sense than to throw my hard earned money away gambling so I can't relate.

I just got done watching the game on DVR and was completely bummed dreading the "Sanders out of for the year with broken leg" thread. I'm so happy to hear this!!!!!!!

To my knowledge, we had 3 there tonight

He wears kobes. I don't know how anyone can hoop in those. Theyre like running shoes.

Dude, you have no clue what you are taking about.

You sound like a "Flood" disciplinarian.
He's an idiot, claiming we gave away the game by sitting Corey for a stretch. More we win, the more brilliant opionions we will endure on this board and in real life.

Call me crazy for saying we have a better chance at winning with the most talented player available for the whole game. I can live with that.

Really. Call me crazy for thinking that sitting someone for a whole game is appropriate when he missed practice before playing a top 15 team. Being injury free for the next stretch of games would just be a bonus. The only silver lining is that maybe Sanders has learned not to take that shot when going up against tree trunks.

FWIW, I believe MSU's one-and-done freshman phenom Miles Bridges has already missed 5 games with a sprained ankle. I sure hope Corey can play for the home opener, but it is certainly not crazy to think he might miss a few games.

Good to hear. Only one came out for Corey, and it looked like a Wisconsin staff member had to help him scrape him up. You see dudes from other teams go down and a small army comes out to assist.

looked terrible

would be shocked if he played vs Penn State

at least there are a few practice days for Nigel to play exclusive point

sprained ankles can easily result in missing 3-4 weeks. Especially how severely Corey twisted it.

Even if he is able to lace up anytime soon, at best he'll be hobbling around and that would delay recovery likely through the entire season. Either way, if this is a bad sprain then he's likely not going to be 100% for a majority, if not all, of the remainder of the season I would guess

made this exact point beginning of season...but as others pointed out not sure if anything really makes a difference besides a good tape job.

Agree with this. Corey's game relies heavily on his athleticism. If he's hobbling around on the court, I don't see the benefit of having him play even a few minutes against Penn State.

Yes Sanders needs the ankle to get the rim and without explosiveness the weapon is gone and he can't shoot. However he is the only guy who has shown he can get us in to our offensive sets and make others around him better in the offensive side of the court.

Perhaps if he can suit up the offensive runs smoother as he knows his limitations and his sole purpose is to distribute. Playing effective D is a different worry.
