Court Club will have a Scarlet Summer Solstice event - Summer BBQ & Pig Roast W/ Team/Coaches Jun 20

Not sure why an event would have been planned if the coach couldn’t have been there. At the very least, if not known prior, change the date?

...and for those wondering: Even with his son graduating, Coach Pikiell told the club in advance he would do everything in his power to attend for at least a short while. His word is good with us. He wouldn't have said it unless he meant it. As most of you know, RU hosted Donnie Tillman yesterday, which wasn't known until very recently. Hence, Coach Hayn was the only coach who could attend the event. Harper Jr., Johnson, Kiss, Nathan and Mulcahy were the players who joined us. The other players had class or were off campus.

All in all, it was a magnificent fundraiser for the club. All who attended were more than pleased with the event... and there was no rain!

It was pretty good. The food was very good. Six players were there in Harper, Kiss, Johnson, Mulcahy, Doucoure and Nathan. They all walked about to mingle with the crowd. Mulcahy really has an outstanding personality and loves it at RU. Our new assistant, Steve Hayn spoke as did Abe Suydam''s son. Pikiell, Hobbs & Knight were not there. Rumors were they were entertaining the visiting transfer possibility. A few guys supposedly had classes and a couple were at their homes. It was nice to see fans talking RU basketball.
Interesting tidbit from Mulcahy that he will be attending a summer class in Spanish prior to team trip to Spain. Can't wait to watch him perform at point guard because his height will create a mismatch favoring Rutgers on offense.Another tidbit is that team has tentative move date into practice center mid July.

Thanks Mike for posting!!

Everyone that attended last night's Summer Solstice event had a great time (as you know). The Team was scheduled to be with us from 6-7:30PM. They stayed until 8:30PM. They didn't want to leave!! They had a great time on the hayride, feeding the goats and being at the farm with their most loyal fans. I have not received one complaint from anyone that was in attendance.

Other than a snarky remark here (or 2) on this board it was a unanimous success. A huge Thank You to everyone that attended and for all of your tremendous support to the Court Club. It is greatly appreciated. Also, a huge Thank You to Ryck and Cathy for opening the farm and for their generosity. Thank You to the Court Club Exec Board and our Sponsors for last night's program. The Court Club is blessed to have so many supportive members.

Now we turn our attention to the 2019-20 season which should be a great one for our basketball program and the Court Club. The Team is making great strides on the court and the Club will do its best to keep pace in our support of this Team. We will be starting our membership drive in the next few weeks. We would love to have everyone that reads these boards (and cares about the program) join the Court Club!!

All the best to you. Enjoy the Summer.

Regards,

Elliott
