Creme Posts Bracketology 12/9

He has us as a 7 seed in Louisville. He also has 11 B1G teams making the tournament!

Well bless his heart.

It is extremely doubtful. A good year for the B1G, I think, if the conference doesn't cannibalize itself. But several of the teams that he most likely has making the tournament may have gaudy records, but there is little substance to them. It will all depend on what happens going forward.

At least he doesn't send us to Storrs like the committee usually does.

I think with our incoming class and a large number of returnees, next year RU or Trenton need to start bidding again to host the opening weekend.

the year UConn is showing it's not the same type of unbeatable program as when RU was usually put in the same bracket .

Top 4 seeds in each region host the first weekend. No bid required.

Trenton could bid for a regional, but sites are already assigned through 2022 - and that is assuming that they don't change the site format as has been discussed and even recommended a couple of times.

Odd note - this is the one year that UConn will have to travel for a regional - probably to Greenville South Carolina. The other years, Albany and Bridgeport are in play.

Isn't UConn still undefeated? It seems to be getting stronger as the season goes on.

I do, sadly, think they are getting stronger.
But - during the conference season - they will be playing Baylor, Tennessee, Oregon and South Carolina. Prognosticators seem to think they may be vulnerable to the 3 stronger teams on that list.

With the recruits they have coming in, Geno is talking about 3 (at least) undefeated seasons ahead - which looks like it is possible. They have killed on the recruiting trail, this is probably the last year for a while that they look vulnerable, although obviously even the best team can lose on a bad day.

I stand corrected , for some unknown reason I thought they had a loss .
Maybe they will get upset by Ok today and I can claim :
it's the thought that counts.
But most likely it will just be another win for UConn and still a mistake on my part:chairshot:

Bracketology in dec before conference play seems pointless...but this creme dude seems like an attention seeker...

Um, he's paid to do it. He works for ESPN. It is pointless, but there is a market that wants to read it. If they are going to pay Charlie to do his thing, I can't blame him.

IIRC he worked for one of the men's bracketologists, before creating the concept on the women's side.
