Recruits have to pay for their own food at the bbqWell, hope he enjoyed the food he got at the Rutgers BBQ this past weekend.
Too bad in a case like this RU couldn't send some kind bill to the kid to cover whatever he wolfed down while he was here. -I mean what the heck, if he can change his mind the way he did, only seems fair that RU should have the right to rethink having given him a free feed.
Now I'm only kidding about that, of course. (Well, kind of kidding, anyway. ;-)

Bar?Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you.
But I guess you can't blame a guy for wanting to stay home, right?
Cuz he's a PLAYER. :pimp: We were only just a placeholder it's that simple. What’s crazy about this is that if he knew deep down that he wanted to go to WVU then why in the world did he commit to Rutgers? He could have waited a while and if he didn’t get an offer from WVU by some point closer to signing day, then he could have committed to RU. There really was no rush.

You pay $5 for a $40 buffet/feast.Wasn't aware of that, clearly. Well, if so, that's at least one small "positive" about this situation. -But at lease I can hope he got overcharged for whatever he had. o_O
He played it well, and good for him. It seemed obvious that he would commit to WVU if offered, and that is just what happened.
Frankly, I question the wisdom of us offering and accepting his commitment. It was pretty obvious this would play out the way it did. More importantly, he is a marginal talent for this level. It makes way more sense for WVU to offer, given the family history. It makes zero sense for RU to offer based on the brother, since even if Darius came here, it was highly likely the brother would end up at WVU anyway.
Could be WV offered thinking RU might have the upper hand when it came to Stills' parents advising the brother when the offers started coming because they ignored DarIus even though the father played for WV and the kid wanted to be a Mountaineer .He played it well, and good for him. Pretty simple. He was there. He was in the moment. He was at the stadium, on the campus being talked up and welcomed by all. In that moment he did want to go to Rutgers as it was an awesome experience and setting and obviously his best offer. In that moment he was committed to go to Rutgers out of the offers he had. Then he got an offer he favored more after the fact.
If anything he could have came out of it with an announcement that Rutgers was well ahead as his favorite out his current offers.
