Definition of a very brief post

Two guys who had a clear agenda regarding the RU coaching position. One wanted GS rehhired, one didn't want Flood fired.

If it makes them feel better, I will sacrifice and gladly offload Tim Beck to Rutgers. If they're looking for mediocrity at Rutgers, he would be a wonderful candidate.

You don't ever expect everyone to be happy, but Chris Ash hasn't even been on the job for a week. I feel like Rutgers has already lost the 2016 season going into the 2017 season after reading his post. Someone send help immediately!

How could anyone not have wanted Flood fired unless the money owed to him came out of his or her pocket directly.

Very good question, and one that probably doesn't have a logical answer, (unless people who backed KF knew him, or were related to him, of had some other kind of agenda going).

There was a poll on here that graded Flood's coaching performance after he got canned. The overwhelming majority who voted gave him a D or an F, but there were a few who actually gave him an "A". -What alternate universe they were watching this guy coach from is truly a mystery.

We RU fans employ logos to reinforce our negative pathos and treat it as ethos.

You must be a new visitor to this board. Here are some rules you should understand.

1. Optimism is a sign of weakness.

2. Calling yourself "long suffering" is a badge of honor. You immediately receive godlike status among the member of the site allowing you free rein to complain about anything even remotely associated with RU athletics.

2. Any thread that says something positive must be hijacked or failing that be stifled by repeating a litany of past failures going back up to a minimum of 25 years.

3. A poster who starts a positive thread or shows the slightest sign of optimism must from that day on be referred to as an idiot, moron, KoolAid drinker, Sky is Blue, clueless, or any combination thereof. Flood lover should only be used for the worst violators.

4, No matter the topic you must always remember the grass is ALWAYS greener everywhere else and post accordingly.

Those votes were probably fans of other programs crashing the poll to express their approval of the job Flood was doing.

Excellent summary.

You could very well be right, RUtrumpet, and I wouldn't be surprise at all if that was the case.

I'm sure fans of other schools wanted Flood to be at RU as long as possible.

I have been reading this board since you were invited to join the B1G. I have seen real enthusiasm from this board in joining the B1G at levels never reached by PSU, Maryland, or Nebraska.

Winning might change things for the fanbase. After years of frustration and mediocrity, some people really need to see sustained proof that Rutgers is fielding a winning team.

The one thing that has been a downer is rutgersal. He's always been so upbeat and positive about Rutgers. I don't care how over-the-top some of his comments have been. It has always made me smile. Hopefully, he'll return to form before the 2016 season. It just wouldn't be the same.

No! The grass is not always greener elsewhere. You could be Syracuse or UCONN fans in football. That must be depressing.

Man, are you ever right about that, CYBuci! -Also, good having you on the board.

And believe me, even though we might bitch and moan and have differing opinions about a lot of stuff on here, we LOVE being in the B1G and wouldn't want to be in any other conference!

Al will be back to his usual optimistic self in no time. If we win the first three games of 2016, he will have us winning the Big Ten, winning a national championship and capping it off w/RU winning the Superbowl.

His mood tracks like gasoline prices. Slow to drop; hyper-fast to rise.
