Ummm, that wasn't a leak. That was a barrage of key injuries on defense wiping out those seniors and experience. Offense held serve an then some with a young cadre of receivers.
Biggest loss of season was not necessarily UCLA (or USC), but Illinois--Rutgers was likely at their purported peak for that game, had the game in had, and we all know what happened.
Maybe the 2025 season will please you, but won't hold our breath.
I was in the forum the day of the win and the days after.
The win was good but the prevailing vibe was "wow we have more problems than I thought!"
Most people were not feeling very encouraged about the rest of season after that.
Indeed after Washington there was a four game losing streak to underline the weaknesses
No doubt the following B1G teams took notes on the weaknesses that Washington game exposed
As for me, I just take in the games without the expectations.
Every year there are a dozen teams having great seasons, and 2 dozen having bad seasons with most having mediocres.
RU went from bad to medicore and its going to stay there at best.
RU offense has been based on trying to win by not losing and thats a short bus philosophy that demands a top defense
It was telling RU found success losing Mongo since coaches had to take the training wheels off.
It would be hopeful if they kept that going but we know how tight GS holds on to bad ideas.
I mean everyone can see how silly the Siamese twin mesh is where QB and RB cross the LOS together - fooling nobody.
For that coaching you pay OC twice the salary of RU president.
The good thing is RU has nice people with character and thats getting more rare in CFB.
For that I'll watch the games but as a casual fan.
No more reading/writing about the same things every year 15-20 hrs a week
