Did Laviano ever get "knighted" or what?

Was there some kind of pro-forma ceremony to "knight" all the starters, or are a bunch of "non-game-ready" guys playing?

I'm not trying to start a debate, there are 69 other threads to argue about the QB play, I'm just legitimately curious what happened with the "knighting" thing.

Muller has been terrible, from Day 1. . . when was the last time a redshirt Senior Captain was benched in the first quarter of the first game. It was to be program 1st.

He's talking about the "Knighting" thing.

Are you going to continue going all over the place ripping Muller at every opportunity? Did he steal your girlfriend or lunch money?

Really? He's a redshirt Senior Captain, expecting him to be competent at his position is the minimum, right.

Oh wait, let me say it again. . .

Redshirt Senior Captain was benched, at the easiest position on the Offensive Line in the first quarter of the first game.

Well I guess that answers my question.

I'm guessing lunch money.

Was the whole "knighting" metaphor or "game ready" distinction just a training camp process or does it carry over into the season?

Maybe I'm wrong but I never thought about it as anything more than something to aspire to. A motivational device. Never thought it would be something that determined who would or wouldn't play.
