Dylan and Ace will single hardly win them a bunch of games but against decent completion it will be very difficult with the supporting case Pike out around them. Glad he listened to a 17 year old average center and didn’t bring in a legit center.

We will surprise some teams, but they’ll have to be B1G teams now, so we have to finish around the middle of the pack. I still think we are a bubble team. I actually feel better about us after Vegas than I had before.

We will make the tourney. We played better in these last two games against top 20 teams than we have all year. Are we there yet, no, but I have confidence that we will continue to get better and win enough games to get in. We have two stars and J will has found his game. We need other guys to get better on their roles and learn to close out games but the two teams we lost to have much older and experienced teams than us. Not an excuse but just reality. Still, two blown chances at huge resume wins

Hayes needs to hit and take 3’s if he does we win. He didn’t hit when he took them and passed when he should’ve taken them.
Davis, needs to know who he is! Play D and pass, don’t dribble don’t shoot. He does that we win.
Martini just don’t make mistakes, he does that we win.

Add to it Pikes in game coaching including, making in game adjustments, using timeouts to reset, and lastly player rotation.

What did people expect Pike to do when both of his big men were fouled out with 4+ minutes left. We had the ball in the hands of a top 3 draftee up 1 with under 2 minutes to go. We then had the ball in the hands of another top draftee down 2. At some point, elite players need to make baskets late in the game.

There are coaching issues on offense and defense in addition to the lack of bench scoring.Above all else the lack of 3 point scoring makes it very difficult to get a double digit lead.

Pike n staff need to do a way better job of getting catch n shoot open 3s for Hayes, Acuff, Martini etc. Years past we always said we don’t get easy open 3s brcause nobody is drawing attention inside. Harper and Ace don’t five us that excuse anymore
