I was watching the St. Louis game and the announcers spoke about their 3 transfers. They mentioned how Rutgers let a good player get away. They went on to say Rutgers would miss him because he might be the best player on the roster coming into this year... Really? What do you guys think.

Obviously they haven't watched much of our games. Foreman was decent but played a lot more than he should have after freeman went down.

Not even close to being our best player. I'm curious what his thoughts are about the start to our season. Any regrets possibly?

They said a guy of his size and skills should thrive in St Louis' league. His B1G experience will make him a matchup nightmare.

Laughable notion. He would have had a hard time finding minutes. Not better than Sa, Gettys or Freeman.

Very limited skills and athleticism. A lot of bench time this year if he played for us.

DJ always looked good until it came time to put the ball in the hole -- he had trouble finishing around the rim. Otherwise it looked like he had all the tools, including size, and being a lefty was also an advantage. That said, I wish we still had him.

First off we didn't let him get away. He was the one who wanted to leave. If he had stayed we probably would not have Sa or Gettys. I am happy with the guys we have. I wonder if he thinks he made a mistake after seeing how good Pikiell is.

He didn't do anything particularly well. Don't wish him ill but he was really just another guy. Wasn't a power forward - didn't play "big" and didn't have small forward skills. Maybe sitting out a year to work on his skills and develop his body and fitness will allow him to be a contributor for Saint Louis.

Maybe it was best for him to transfer and besides having a good college career, he'll have fun while earning his degree at St Louis U while being a Billiken .

Good luck to the kid in St. Louis, but we've got a lot of better front court players than him on this Rutgers team. (Who would have thought that sentence would possibly be true when he transferred? Crazy, I know.)

Always felt that he had the potential, 6'8 , big wingspan, but struggled to finish at the basket and the FT shooting drove me crazy. I remember Eddie saying he had "confidence" issues but still would of liked to see him under Pikiell's tutelage. Of course, wish him the best at St. Louis!!

Kid could get to the rim...even when double teamed. He was remarkably talented in that regard

Problem was that he couldn't then make the layup.

I wish him well

We have to learn to move on. Stop googling you high school girlfriend. 11-1 with a BIG game tonight. Focus people.

DJ played a lot smaller then he was. Always bringing the ball down low and his body low. I thought he would be the one player to get the most under the tutelage of Jay Young and Coach Pike.

Wait until St Louis needs him to make free throws...then that 40% from the line stat will really shine

DJ had some confidence issues to be certain....but is a talented kid.

I think Pikiell would have been good for him, but it may have been a struggle.

He made the best choice for him and went with Macon who recruited him. Wish him nothing but the best
Foreman and Macon were joined at the hip. When Macon was let go, there was 0% percent chance Foreman would remain at RU.

I wrote he missed a layup because i was just joking. Still remember Indiana game last year where RU must have missed 7 layups.

Soft he was not. Limited skill set and athleticism. If Laurent is struggling to find minutes, DJ would have not gotten any. Poor man's Ollie Bailey...who is a poor man's DeShawn Freeman...

He was athletic. I strongly disagree with that. He could slash well for his size but he was lacking in skill.

I indicated soft more mentally than anything else. He was not tough when things didn't go his way. EJ intimated at several CC meetings that he had some mental concerns and had a serious confidence problem.

That's because it is coached.......no, it's drilled. Thank you coaches and players for buying in to crash the boards.
