I dont know anything about this guy at all (qualifications, experience, etc). But its hard for me to be critical of hiring someone away from a school that has something we're trying to get (i.e. better game day experience).

and yes, this is totally different from the internship 'issue'

so I dont count myself as someone who's losing a lot of sleep over this.

I don't care about this. Its not the same as the R vision hire. That is a spot that should be used as a student internship to get a student time on camera. R Vision is not the same as how the AD should be run. Of course we are always going to hire people with experience at other schools. These are not entry level positions.

Does anyone think a pool of coaching candidates should be limited to Rutgers alums? Of course not. FOr "real" jobs, you hire the best candidate. That people cannot see the difference is surprising.

I agree with this post. My only add-on would be to make sure that the person with the best qualifications was legitimately chosen.

Move on , do you only work with Rutgers employees at your job, are you only friends with Rutgers grads, do you know that there are thousands of Rutgers employees that did not attend Rutgers...oh the horror
