Do you remember where you were on this day in 1991?

Watching in frelingheuysen 4th on pins and nails

Yelled out one of the loudest Mother F***ing YES!!!! Ever done by me

Senior in high school, but already knew I was going to RU. Guess I was born a few months too late.

Pushing 43 and still haven't watched an RU game in the NCAAs as a student or alum. Gotta laugh to keep from crying.

Junior at RU..went back home that day to Hillsborough and watched the Selection Show somewhat apprehensive because RU was considered a bubble school from the A10 after that crushing loss to St Joes in the A10 opening round....19-8 the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils in Atlanta

Sophomore, considered taking a road trip for tourney. Decided against it(because of pending exams), and because I thought I can just go next year....

Ugh, who could have thought the drought could ever be this long???

Making hotel reservations for Atlanta. Little did I know it would be the last time I would make hotel reservations for an RU NCAA appearance.

Had the selection show on in my home and was stoked when I saw RU had made it in.

On the day of RU's tourney game, (believe the game was played on a Friday), I left work early so I could watch the game as it happened rather than recording it and watching it later. -Damn good thing I did, too, since, like everybody else, I couldn't possibly imagine back then what a looooong time it would be before the chance might come around again to watch Rutgers in another one.

North Las Vegas, Nevada...working shift work at the weather flight at Nellis AFB...good times

Was in Guam. Since TV was exactly one week behind mainland USA, learned about the bid in Stars and Stripes a day or two later.

I'm sure I was watching, excited to know that I'd be making the short drive to the Omni (!) to see my alma mater in the dance.

Was busy developing a cure for the common cold. Stopped my research to await the selection news, and never completed my research for the cure.

Yep not the selection but I remember..watching the game at the Water Tower bar (now some kind of restaurant) in Sayreville with the old man

I was newly married living in Somerset Mews apartments on Rt 27. Since then i have had 5 different jobs, moved 4 times and had 2 daughters who are now 18 and 22 years of age. My oldest will likely be married before RU sees the next NCAA tourney.

Well at that time I was still single, but married since, on my 5th job since, 4th address, 4 children (my oldest is a Rutgers student), etc. Don't remember watching the selection show though.

Probably NOT thinking "Thankfully I went to Providence two years ago because this never will happen again."

Possibly in my mom's basement trying to file state wrestling results to the Home News office on one of those enormous old computers that cannot be called laptops, but that might have been the Sunday before. If so, then probably in the office watching the selection show NOT take 90 minutes to get to the region Rutgers was placed in. I do remember Jim Valvano and Bill Cosby debating whether Temple or Rutgers would get at-large bids.
