feel like there are some coaches who are participating in the postseason who can be some good options. I get it about the players but can't start having those spring workouts until after the tourney anyway. Coaches handle most of their interviews for potential staff members at the final four unless they bring staff with them. I get it Hobbs wants to get it done but we have some time. Just my opinion

I don't think we are rushing.

I am sure that if there are coaches who might be interested, Hobbs is aware of them. That is why you hire a search firm.

I agree. We are only a little over a week into the search. Be sure you have conducted a good search and be comfortable you got the best guy available who really wants the job.

I'm sure that the "quiet phase" of the search has been going on for a month or more. It was likely done via intermediaries so everyone can plausibly deny talks.

I'm on the opposite side of the coin. I'm not sure what the benefit of stretching things out is. If a coach from a team in the tournament was interested, he would have his agent contact Hobbs and things would go from there.

We've hit the iceberg, our W-L record is rock bottom, the alums / fans are waiting for a life boat...and the f'ing orchestra has been playing some Victorian piece a long time!

Maybe another coach or two shakes free or becomes more interested as other dominoes fall. If we are going to make the first hire then we better be sure we got the best guy available to us
