Doucoure

Glad done one started this thread, I always struggle to spell his name correctly.

He is coming along nicely. And as Bac points out, it was against big time talent.

He has a nice face up game. Showing different angles, not just the elbow jumper today. I know he is built solid, but a couple years of strength and conditioning he will be tough to move off the block and become a better rebounder.

He will be a good one. Wait until his Jr and Sr years. Bright future.

Also, Geo competed today, didn't shoot it well, but three blocks, and worked hard, as he gets stronger he will be tough, especially in his mid range pull up game, he even now as a freshman has the ability to make room for himself.

And as a side note, it was a small guard who killed us again, just saying. We still need a true speed point.

I graded Doucoure out as the #1 or #2 on the team tonight vas Minny.
I am also impressed with Omoruyi and GEO

We are going to win some games this year. Minny is no slouch.

No doubt. A lot to like in his game already. He has a smooth jumper and great FT form for a true frosh big man. He is also really active on the boards and on D. And, he’s learning not to foul. His upside is huge!

The future looks very bright for Rutgers. Doucoure looked smooth on his jumper ; Geo lets the game come to him , and Eugene keeps looking better and better every game...I love what I see out there.

Jay Young and the staff have brought Doucoure along much faster than I expected.....the touch was there when he was in HS last January and the raw ability was there, but he was essentially a defensive presence with a willingness to shoot from 10-15....now he looks comfortable.

In a game where Sanders slows down and trusts the others to score, Doucoure can find more touches....two less shots by Sanders per half should equal two more for Doucoure and Eugene.
