off the charts athleticism. Had to be the best ever. Next level stuff.

Yeah those were some ridiculous dunks.....thought the guy from the Magic should have won, but still a great contest!

I was totally off the dunk thing...totally....

really wanted to watch 3pt deal but my son convinced me to watch this too...I was out....glad he did...

it was awesome...I still can't believe what Gordon did,,,that one jackknife deal dropped my jaw,,,and yeah he should have won but
so what...if it was to celebrate amazing athleticism and have fun doing it then win-win-win...Levine knew it too...and Gordon made
the show and they all knew it..

down on NBA in general but they had a huge night...all the events were really a fun watch...already want to see next years version..I even liked the snide comments from Shaq and Charles and crew..lotta fun all around...

Have to admit... it was pretty cool... not fan of NBA for past several years, but these were different.

Agree with OP in regards to the athleticism, the dunk contest has been getting back to the late 80s era after being down since the early 90s imo

Did anyone see dunk during the game? Dude is 6'1" and did this in jeans! I thought he jumped off a trampoline the first time I saw it. His vert must be 45 inches.

That was unbelievable. I watched it twice and I still don't believe it. Holy sheet.

Agree w/others here about the dunk contest too. Probably the best dunk contest I've seen in my life.

Its more than 45 inches. I'm 5'10 and my vertical was 44 inches back in the day and I was just able to do basic dunks and get a little more than half of my forearm over the rim. He's able to get his entire head above the rim (look up his other videos on youtube)...

Even in other good dunk contests it has been one dunker significantly better than the rest. This time we got two going head to head doing some things we have never seen before, which really hasn't happens since Jordan vs Wilkens. What was really excellent about this dunk contest was there wasn't anything gimmicky about it, just pure athleticism (while the mascot was a bit hokey, it wasn't a gimmick like Superman or a Kia). The stuff that Gordon was doing at his size was ridiculous. Think back to when a guy like Shawn Kemp was the best big man dunker and he couldn't even dream of doing the stuff Gordon was pulling off.

I am going to disqualify myself from the contest because I am considered a Pro.I have dunked 3 glazed donuts into a cup of hot chocolate in 1minute,24 seconds.

The dunk contest had to be good, as a precursor to having to be an apology for the actual game which was almost unwatchable. Sitting in a bar having drinks watching Carmelo catching a length of the court pass to an uncontested LAY UP!!! to then a counter length of the court pass to a cherry picking Westbrook for an uncontested dunk...then they announce "with amazement" that the game set an all time scoring mark...I could have scored on those uncontested lay-ups...why does the NBA all-star game get a free pass while the Pro Bowl is blasted? Am I the only one watching the NBA all-star game thinking, why am I wasting my time watching this (with the exception of a few turn-around Kobe jump shots).

Should have bet the over. Believe it or not, it was 321 this year (got destroyed), but in previous years it has gone under (280 range) with the o/u at 300 or so. If the game is close the 4th quarter of the NBA All-Star game can be compelling.

I'd rather see a one on one or two on two tournament...let them actually play for something

That's pretty awesome. Checked out his other vids. Probably has little actual basketball skills outside of dunking, but if he was in the NBA dunk contest he would have won. Dude has to be the best dunker in the world. They should let him in the next one.
