Lots of players plateau in college, because the time you spend playing basketball and working with coaches is limited. Cliff may also have a little hangover from his efforts to get drafted, and may be a little disappointed and demotivated to be back.

FWIW - a different trainer (not the one I mentioned right before the summer) associated with Bosco at my boys’ AAU club told us last weekend he heard it’s going to be Rutgers (my boys ask all the time). Again - I have no idea how much intel these guys actually have but this one has actually trained both Ron and Dylan over the years. He once showed my boys some film of it to get them excited about their own training.
This doesn’t mean these trainers associated with Bosco (mainly they run training sessions for some of the JV kids I think) know anything. But these were guys who laughed when my kids first asked a while back if they thought Dylan would pick Rutgers. Last year all of them thought it would be Duke.

Ok I see your point but I don’t think it’s the same as random gossip. These are guys that know the Harpers and interact with the kids Dylan is friends with at school regularly.
It is an occupational hazard for me.
Really think he’s coming here; wish he would have announced at the football game earlier in the season, but it’s a process for him. Think it will happen at the RAC this month either way, just hoping it goes our way

He had spent the previous six months or more working out in the RAC. I knew guys with access back then who saw him in there regularly and I even saw him multiple times when I'd go pick up tickets. The story is he WEPT in the car the entire ride home from Duke because he knew he'd have to face Bannon after putting a very public dagger in his back. His mother made the deal with Coach Rat Face.

Every coach and recruiting service in America follows these kids and interprets what they post (or don’t post). Sure, they’re not fans but it’s still grown men worrying about teenagers. I doubt they find it pathetic. Haha.
Also, with NIL now a thing, I doubt adults cutting checks for teenagers to go to certain schools find it pathetic what they’re posting either.
And FWIW I don’t follow the stuff and have found the DH process exhausting.
I think it’s great and wish more players would do it. What’s a bad look is fans and/or “analysts” obsessing about recruiting to the point where they stalk the kids on social media.
These kids don’t owe us fans a goddamn thing. They don’t exist for our pleasure or for our entertainment.
