He wasn't on Temple's Commitment Board to remove but if you want to boast RU flipped him, go ahead, frankly that's even more amusing. Temple is currently talking to 2 players who were on your board and publicly announced a decommitent and two more who are on your board right now. Lets see who's where on Signing Day...

...well I know you'll probably be here on Signing Day since you're so preoccupied with us...

Joe P.

AND he is a mature player being out of HS for 2 years and with spring ball he will see the field this year in a position of need.

I think this is a very good addition, however, I hope not. IMHO he's too thin right now so MAYBE for ST's this fall but he'll get killed at LB, in the B1G, at his current size.

If nothing else, you have to give these coaches credit for knowing who is available, who is committed but may be looking and what coaches they need to speak with almost all over the country.
They've already, from various reports, have contacted 8 DP QB's around the country. No idea how successful they'll be but I have a feeling these guys know exactly how to get things done.

<Because of my dedication to Temple, I'm going to spend more time over on our free Rivals board.>

...or you can win 10 games at Temple once every blue moon, play in a bowl game the Tuesday before Christmas that is forgotten about before it's even over, have a national Defensive Player of the Year and still not finish in the Top 25.

Yeah, but we still had the NDPOY.

Anyone notice both his first and last names have almost the same exact letters , but scrambled?

Hey genius, you're trashing our players and some of our future players. Great job.
Sorry to offend, but it's no secret that with the backing of the B1G, Flood did not kill it on the recruiting trail. Flood did not fill the roster full of 4*& 5* talent and was never known as a top recruiter amongst his peers. If he did, there would not need to have the mantra fence the garden.

You're not offending me you're trashing our players for no reason at all. Let it go.

As for the 4 and 5 stars, let me know when we land one. I'm in full support of Ash so let's just talk about him and everything good he does.

Now that we have grabbed a Temple recruit from NJ, time for Ash to turn his attention on grabbing one of the top Monmouth recruits, and dare I even dream it, a Kean recruit to top it off. This is what I call fencing the garden!!

Some of you are so f'n ridiculous it's beyond absurd. The guy has been on the job for a f'n month, Harbaugh, under the same circumstances last year, couldn't flip recruits from Flood, which was akin to not being able to grab multiple copies of Auto Trader.

Certainly beats the Temple and I wouldn't even know who else is at the bottom of that conference.

Temple will be exactly what the always have been. Their greatest season ever ended in a no name bowl loss to a no name team. 3 wins is the over under next year.

Positives culture. Get on board. Trashing Flood or Temple is weak. Get strong.

So was Elias Reynolds from NYC who left...better DE moving to LB than S moving to LB.

Well, we're already 2-0 in that head to head battle and we've only been in the conference for 2 years with a complete dud for a head coach. So I'd hardly call that one a battle. Enjoy perpetual mid-major status.

Do you think that since Elorm Lumor moved into a Rutgers dorm Sunday night that Toady Hunt can finally grasp the fact that RU has flipped him and he indeed will suit up for RU and not Temple this fall.

You sound like SU fan by calling him a name. T Hunt is one of the biggest supporters of Rutgers football and this is how you think of him. Now I can see why outsiders continue to make fun of Rutgers because our fans are our worst enemy. Btw, T Hunt wrote article a few days ago, but sat on it. The editor decides when to release it. It well known the editor of nj.com is not the biggest fan of Rutgers football, so he will do anything within his power to make Rutgers look silly.

I'll take the over for $100 million.
We get it, you're a temple fan. But seriously the ceiling is not higher than Rutgers if both teams max out. In fact, Temple just hit their glass ceiling this year. It's going to be tough in replacing 25+ seniors. Most were starters and important to the success of the team. Let's see them get to .500 next season. We all know the value of Temple football. At 6-6 in 2014 couldn't get you a bowl game and this year at 10-4 could spike the interest of the fans to buy tickets for the bowl game. Something like less than 200 tickets sold...WTF.

You can blame it on the Hunt's editor if you want, but Hunt/nj.com were the only outlet I saw that looked at the flip with skepticism. Hunt has a very interesting way of working negatives into his recruiting pieces and his approach has changed significantly since he first started writing recruiting pieces. "friends/supporters" like that I don't need. It does seem that with the coaching changes that NJ.com has lost a number of "sources" and the info is showing up first on other outlets I wonder why this would be.

The info showing up on other sites is all Ash because of his contact with others.

Like I said, Hunt wrote the story several days again. Some of the info is not that of Hunt, but that of his copy editor and from the senior editor with last minute changes. The original writer doesn't always have the final say. I know this because my wife has been a senior editor for daily publications as well as magazines for over 20 years. It common practice. Besides, we all know the agenda held by the senior sports editor who will do anything to undermine Rutgers.

I usually don’t go on NJO .com even for Todd, but always considered him a powerful RU supporter and when I did read his recruiting articles he always seemed to put a positive spin in RU’s favor. Hunt even had some posters here claim he wore Scarlet glasses while writing his recruiting blog.
So when I seen him being accused of being anti-RU I was shocked and wanted to find out if he changed into the typical Star Liar employee instead of being the exception to the rule.

This might explain why he was mistakenly labeled anti-RU:
>Rutgers football recruiting mailbag: Will Elorm Lumor enroll at Rutgers? | NJ.com
I had heard rumblings over the weekend that Rutgers had offered Lumor and was trying to flip him. However, I had also heard that he was a Temple early enrollee and therefore would still be going to school in Philadelphia, despite having some level of interest in Rutgers, essentially making it a non-story at the time. I'm not exactly sure how the logistics would work out at this point. But it appears, Lumor has now committed to Rutgers and will enroll in school over the next few days.

However, it is unusual to see an early enrollee flipped this close to the time he was supposed to be gearing up to go to another school.<

We lose 12 scholarship seniors. Looks like Rutgers loses 9. That's not a significant difference.
