Email Christie to sign bill for $25M tax credit for Rutgers facilities

This is fine, and I'm sure it will be signed.

But, if we REALLY NEED a practice facility, why are we building a parking deck and then what we really need " above and around" a parking lot ?

That's the stipulation in getting the $. Mixed use development.

I don't agree with it either but that was the stipulation to get it built & get $25M tax credit so it's much better than our current situation of no facility & $.

The State of New Jersey gave the Philadelphia 76's about $100M in tax credits to build a practice facility on our side of the river (pathetic, yes I know...). They're willing to give us $25M to build part of a facility. So...not much, to be honest, but we've GOT to take it with open arms!
It could kickstart donors giving to the cause. Shows them the school means business.

I have to wonder if that decision is based on the idea that you could basically force 15-20 multi-millionaires to move to New Jersey and pay taxes there. That's what I always thought about the Jets headquarters moving from Hempstead to Florham Park

It was voted out of committee yesterday will be voted on by full Assembly on Monday & then go to the Gov if passed

That's more than a thought.
