Entire B1G Ranked in Top 20

UMass is a different team at home. They are 1-2 on the road, 3-0 at home including a win over Army.

This is a team we need to get up on early. Don’t want to let them hang around. This is an important game because a win here somewhat mitigates our Army loss. OOC will not be a factor come tournament time. It will all depend on B1G results, which is how we want it.

UMass is actually 1-2 at home and 3-0 on the road. Per the UMass website their losses against Yale and BU were at home. Their 1 win at home was against Army. Their 3 road wins were against UMass Lowell, Albany and Vermont

The 3 toughest opponents were the 3 home games. And if the weather's even passable they will have the hill, which @Caliknight indirectly refers to.

Whatever their record is, that’s a very tough environment. We need to be ready to go.

I am not arguing that it is not a tough place to play but claim they are undefeated at home is simply incorrect. The bigger question is my mind is how well Rutgers will play on the road. Right now, the only data point is the Army game which was clearly not the best performance. How much was no Rall and Dugenio and how much playing on the road or how much just being at West Point where Rutgers has historically struggled.

Probably a combination of all three.

The biggest issues were the team was a bit over confident, and we didn't spend time focusing on us instead of them.

That won't be repeated this time. Kids will have to be ready though. We saw in-game development of the team during Princeton. We need to take that to Amherst. Finish off the OOC season on a high note and get ready for the meat grinder.

Sorry glanced at the schedule quickly and mixed up the locales. Both losses were in fact at home. Still going take a good effort to come away with the win.
