During a teaser, they showed Michigan's next three games - Minnesota, Rutgers, and Purdue. Minnesota and Purdue had their overall records next to them. For us, just our conference record. Thanks ESPN, always trying to kick us when we are down.

Uh, no.When I see the political media Today, It reminds me of how ESPN treats Rutgers
Agenda agenda agenda o yes and Bias
Probably because our OOC was cupcakes.... still an unfair representation of the body of work we had this year. On the up and up... give them a reason not to make us a joke next year!

That may be true an expected but not cool when one of our own on there throws in a little dig.Typical Cuse or Uconn journalism.
Let's see, Bilas, Van Pelt, Kreshevski (screw the spelling) and others just love the Big Ten LOL. I bet Van Pelt goes home at night and beats his head against the wall every time he thinks about his alma mater leaving for the B1G. Warms my heart. And I wonder how much Bilas got paid to play at UNC, one of the most corrupt sports programs in the country and he has the nerve to comment on anything relative to who deserves a spot in a power 5 conference. What goes around comes around and if they don't stop being an advertisement for the ACC, ESPN is going to go the way of the Star Liar.

It was, but I bet come Monday he will say some very nice things about Rutgers, which he did during the broadcast and that's something good coming from ESPN.The 10 minute Northwestern commercial hosted by Mike Greenberg was pretty enraging.
Actually Scott Van Pelt was okay with Maryland's move to the B1G. For most Maryland fans the ACC wasn't the same to them once they were not playing Duke and UNC twice every season. Then the ACC decided that Pittsburgh was Maryland's rival, not even Virginia, a fellow ACC charter program.Let's see, Bilas, Van Pelt, Kreshevski (screw the spelling) and others just love the Big Ten LOL. Yeah, I think so too. I thought Greenie was genuinely respectful of Rutgers. It was, but I bet come Monday he will say some very nice things about Rutgers, which he did during the broadcast and that's something good coming from ESPN.
Definitely true. ESPN's fingerprints are all over both BE raids by the ACC. Then they had the nerve to do a 30 for 30 titled Requiem for the Big East. That's like the tobacco companies airing a requiem for people who died of lung cancer. No it's because they never wanted us to succeed going way back to the early 80's. A powerful and popular Rutgers would have taken away from the other area darlings in the Big East, and now NE ACC teams. We are a sleeping, and for now, underpaid giant.
Look what happened to BC and Cuse football after Rutgers had sucess under Schiano. I don't think that lesson was lost by ESPN.
They've been banging us every chance they get for decades. Scared beotches.

They way Maryland's basketball team has performed in the B1G since joining, the way they've been treated + the money Maryland is getting from the B1G, there no need for SVP or any Maryland fan to bang their head against the wall about leaving the ACC.
Oh and Bilas played at Duke.
I have never read that Washington Post article before. I just happen to know how SVP felt about the move to the B1G and I am in regular communication with many Maryland fans.I corrected myself regarding where Bilas went to school about a half a dozen posts above the one you posted.
You took your comments above on Maryland and SVP from a Washington Post article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...s-move-to-the-big-ten/?utm_term=.a5a9ae68d042
Regardless, it doesn't make him any less of a P.O.S. on his ESPN bias towards RU. Same goes for Bilas. They're interchangeable.
Yea it must be nice to get an interest free loan from the B1G, then to top it off an advance on future payouts during the buy in period. All while UA is pouring money into Maryland. Seems to me the B1G wanted to help kick start one teams competitive chances and leave another one to fend for themselves. And you wanna know the kicker in this situation, we asked for an advance but our overtures were refused. They way Maryland's basketball team has performed in the B1G since joining, the way they've been treated + the money Maryland is getting from the B1G

Not when he ran his mouth with the GD Espn announcers,Yeah, I think so too. I thought Greenie was genuinely respectful of Rutgers.
I agree but he didn't control the show ESPN did, and showingThe 10 minute Northwestern commercial hosted by Mike Greenberg was pretty enraging.
"They never wanted us to succeed?" What a pile of crap. When we even came within shouting distance of being good, they were here glowing about how loud the RAC is, televising "Pandemonium in Piscataway," etc. They can read numbers as well as anyone.
The fact is, we have sucked ass more often than not in the modern era. SUCKED ASS. Most people think our entry into the Big Ten was a huge joke. Not "media," not "haters," but plain, ordinary fans who can't understand why a few million cable boxes excuses adding utter crap to your product.
That's the view.
Oh, yeah, and if you don't want them to show your conference record, perhaps you shouldn't be so damn bad. And right now, in 2017, despite the obvious signs of progress, you are, as Parcells always said, what your record says you are.
And it says we SUCK ASS. Again.
Get back to me when something actually matters ...
Maryland doesn't have the best athletic director but their AD did a better job negotiating with the B1G than the AD that Rutgers had back then. That lady was in way over her head.Yea it must be nice to get an interest free loan from the B1G, then to top it off an advance on future payouts during the buy in period. That plus the B1G wanted Maryland very, very much.
Tim Pernetti was Rutgers AD when Rutgers negotiated and accepted the B1G invitation, not Julie Hermann. Who knows if he could have gotten a better deal if he played some hard ball. It was not a negotiation he could afford to screw up, that's for sure.Maryland doesn't have the best athletic director but their AD did a better job negotiating with the B1G than the AD that Rutgers had back then. OMFG. If TP botched the B1G invite, it would have made Fred Grunninger look like Albert Einstein.Tim Pernetti was Rutgers AD when Rutgers negotiated and accepted the B1G invitation, not Julie Hermann.
