Everybody step off the ledge and start supporting Rutgers and the football program

Barchi has nothing to do with this, a lot of people using his past issue with TP/Rice to judge him now. He stood up to the press when they all wanted Julie shitcanned. I don't know what you wanted him to say on the email or this issue. He is not creating these issues. Not talking about you but I still see the faction of anti Barchi/Julie people on twitter and facebook blaming them for all kinds of stuff.....get over it...that's not how you support a school

Read my post, I said Not criticizing Barchi for this week. I agree, not his fault.

But in General, Barchi is a weak Leader, and RU would be much better off now the merger is mostly complete, to find someone who knows how Lead a Great Academic Big 10 School, and a hopefully someday great Big 10 athletic program.

As you probably are aware, I am not just bringing this up now to serve my agenda, I have been saying this since before the Pernetti fiasco.

No this doesn't happen at all schools? Other schools don't have packs of their players robbing drug dealers and students in multiple pre-mediated pack attacks including breaking a regular student's jaw for no reason other than to just to kick his ass and rob him? No that is the sign of a SERIOUS problem in your program! You have thugs running your program! When police have to show up to your practice to arrest five of your players THAT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!!

Um, or it's an isolated incident involving the same few idiots.....and, yeah, arrests happen nowhere else in college football....except that there are entire websites devoted to covering college football arrests. Enjoy reading every article from 2015. Let me know how long it takes you....

Here's the thing...

It doesn't matter how these incidents compare to other schools.

All you have to do is spend 5 minutes around this program - and its media relations team - to know that.

So in the final analysis, Bac is wrong. Flood doesn't survive this. Rutgers will be Rutgers, Barchi will be Barchi, NJ will be NJ and a good guy, who I have steadfastly supported, will get the Shame Bell.

That is how it's gonna go. It's how it's going right now, this second, as we speak.

But I will say this...

It shouldn't stop at Flood. If he gets hung out for this, then Julie has to go, too. She has been complicit in the orchestration of this mess. Do not ask me how I know, because I won't tell you. But she's gotta go. She should not be allowed to build her legacy on a foundation of duplicity.

I think the fates of Flood, Hermann and Barchi should be inextricably tied together in the wake of this. Hermann for the reason you gave. Barchi because he is the president; the athletic department is the most visible part of the university and he should not be allowed to completely screw up another regime. How many embarrassments is too many for the university president to survive?

actually you were not steadfast in support of him because you wanted him gone too after 2013 and I have no problem with you changing your views on him at all but lets not act like you have been in his corner with full confidence either.

also I will be wrong if Kyle did something wrong or knew too much, you can try to tie Julie in but she isn't the head coach so for him to get fired means he did something or held something back. If you know something tell it , if you don't then its just bs

You know that's not how this works. But if you want to continue to play the role of butthurt little girl, it's your thread. Have at it.

If Flood goes down, your girl goes down with him. Fact.

If this happens and Both FLood and Julie go down, then Barchi has to go too.

"Do not ask me how I know, because I won't tell you."
Then why say it and I'm not asking what you know.
Think when you said , in this thread, :"If Flood goes down, your girl goes down with him. Fact."
you wanted Julie gone even before this mess happened and anything you say about her won't be positive.
So I'll take what your saying to Bac with a grain of salt.

Shame RU fans must find people to attack when problems arise , because they don't like them and use incidents like this to do so. If Julie made matters worse, she should pay the price.
But if she kept control and made sure the problems didn't become far worse, she should be praised.

Confidentiality might have been and still is the issue and that's why she couldn't make any statements , even though tweets attacked her for not speaking out .

And who, pray tell, will call for Barchi "to go?"

You guys need to get a f@cking grip.

Barchi goes nowhere. You think Christie or the BOG is going to ask him to resign over Nadir Barnwell? Teejay Johnson? Or Flood's own stupidity?

I have a medical school to sell you if you think that...

You people are seriously screwed in the head. They cannot control the actions of players in off hours. They can't also operate without actual knowledge of events which they wouldn't know during an investigation.

The president of the university? That's silly. Not even flood gets a suspension because of this unless he knew or heard info indicating his kids involvement and didn't disclose to police. He is not at fault unless he did that.

Please tell me what he did that would rise to the level of even a suspension?

Allowed players to practice who were suspects in an active criminal investigation? A criminal investigation that includes charges for some of the suspects which are 2nd degree in NJ. Those charges are 5-10 year prison terms in NJ?

For knowing about it and not telling his AD?

You think TeeJay got arrested on 8/5 and Flood didn't find about it? even in passing? and that bit of information doesn't flip a swtich in his head to figure out if any of his current players are running with this knuckle head?

If he is that out of touch with his locker room, I don't know what to say.

What if he new of an investigation and kids told him they weren't involved? Should he not let them practice? If he had that knowledge and didn't pass to AD, that's a problem.

no its not a day to be proud, no one says ignore it. We cant change what happened today but we can do our part not to contribute to the media circus but jumping ship and calling for Flood to be fired. As far as stain on the program, not so sure about that...this literally happens at every Power 5 schools...kids get into trouble everywhere some more serious than others. The lesson to take is our fanbase has to stop with the giddiness when other schools encounter trouble.

We do not know what Kyle knows and I don't see how Julie even fits into this story at all. I do know that Kyle Flood is a man of integrity and despite being lukewarm to his tenure here I do not doubt that at all.

What happened to today isn't going to kill the program unless the fanbase, alums and donors let it. We control how we react with our wallets and donations. The Star Liar can write any narrative they want but they are not in control of this school or the fans reactions

How do you know that Flood is a man of integrity? Because that is the public persona he cultivates? In the psychiatric literature on sociopathy, it is well known that "nice", amiable people who know how to make you like them can be successful sociopaths.

The jury is out on Kyle Flood. Circle the wagons at your peril.

What you have to say is that he is profoundly incompetent and an embarrassment to the university.

I think it's his responsibility to get to the bottom of it.

Surely you don't want us to believe that he should have taken the word of two miscreants, in Barnwell and Peele, at face value do you?

really dude? get over yourself. You sound like a little girl, comparing this to covering up child rape? You don't even know the details, if Flood knew or not. EVERY TEAM in the NCAA has kids who got arrested and or into fights.
Are you defending every other team so you can justify this? I don't care if every other team did it. And I hope we didn't cover anything up like PSU did and joePa used to. But to brush this off in the face of what happens in big time CFB is naive. Sure. Let's trivialize this so someone's daughter can get raped at some point down the road. Because like it or not......that's big time CFB at most schools.

I'm critical because as u can see the spotlight will be intense with a bigger infraction. An infraction that's more "like all of the other programs". Then say goodbye to Rutgers Football. U think there's such thin support now? Just wait.
