You're foolish to think that Hermann has control of firing Flood. She wanted to in 2013 but the school said not on our dime. Private money only. She had input in the dealings with Flood issues of late but the school, not her came up with the 3 game suspension.I'm not sure I understand the angst about hiring a coach with Barchi as president. The only major coaching hire under his watch was hiring Eddie Jordan and paying him more than we've ever paid a basketball coach (men's or women's).
As far as Hermann, she hasn't pulled the trigger on firing Flood. Although she didn't hire him, at some point she owns his performance if she keeps him around. This will be Flood's 3rd season under Hermann. We are close to that point.
But considering that 2 weeks ago, at least half this board wanted to keep Flood, I can't be too surprised that Flood is still here.
JH is not the problem at RU.
