Feeling kind of good for the next game

After looking at the stats for both teams on the BIG site, I feel a lot better about how we come out and play Saturday night http://www.bigten.org/library/stats/fb-confldrs.html at home. I know it is never as easy as trying to just compare numbers, but the team we have seen for the last two games is playing a lot differently than the one we saw start the season.
The offense is clearly putting points on the board. Our defense, although still pretty porous at times, seems able to lock down teams for periods of time too. I think we now see a team with a chip on their shoulder and not awed by whom they are playing whether it be particular players or the entire teams.
If I have one area of real concern it is our kicking game. Suddenly, we have a problem making extra points and our 2pt. plays didn't get us even. Also, why can't we find a kicker who can reach the other team's end zone? Grant was absolutely neutered by their kicker all day. Although we have only missed one FG this season, he has only tried 6 which is the smallest number in the league so far. If this continues, we will find ourselves in more trouble than we should be in close games.
This is one game that I think our coaching staff has to throw caution to the wind in order to be competitive or win. As good as I think we are playing right now, our normal game plan will not be enough.

I think our secondary has been improving and may be pretty good in the coming years. but this year they still have a ways to go.

To make up for the defensive weaknesses we need Laviano to be on target all night hitting multiple targets. Won't be able to zero in on Carroo against OSU like he could against Indy. If we can get the running game going early that should help

I feel a lot better than I would have if that 52-27 lead stayed through the 4th quarter! I was imagining all the pessimists going crazy again.....
