I'm surprised all of you negatoids didn't put 0-12 as an option. I'm sure you think it's possible for us to retroactively lose 2 games with how pessimistic you are

5-7 was my prediction preseason, I thought 4-8 was in play after Washington but now think 5-7 is doable. A bowl is a longshot so are games against Michigan State. We have no QB so getting consistency and winning all the swing games will take almost a thread the needle type season

Iowa isn't that good, and now with our best player hurt it will be a long season. I think 3-6 in the conference. Our wins will be against some combination of Penn St, Illini, Indiana, and Maryland

Iowa isn't great, but they're not bad either.

We're still going to have a lot of problems with the majority of the schedule that lies ahead. Iowa is a well-coached, big team, but not overly athletic. OSU, MSU, Mich, PSU, Illinois, IU, Maryland, Minnesota, are all more athletic than Iowa was today. We can win a couple, for sure, but I'll stick with my 4-win prediction for now and hope I'm wrong.

With our current QB play we will be fortunate to win 4 games this year.
That is the most realistic scenario .
Ash either needs to develop another QB now or go the JUCO route for next year because it won't be better with CL next season, maybe worse.

It'll be hard to lose to Illinois. Indiana we haven't lost to yet but 5th year QB. I'm giving us the PSU game because of the stadium atmosphere no matter the record & also what PSU has shown so far. I think we are very even with UMD right now as well. Other than that, tough.

Same as an said prior to the season. We go bowling.

1st of all, thanks for the tickets last week! You made a lot of people very happy Saturday! I hope I can return the favor one day. As for us going bowling, we needed that Iowa win for me to start talking about Bowls seriously. Looking at the schedule there is still an outside chance with the teams remaining. Minn. Penn St., Illinois, Indiana, Maryland are up for grabs. Michigan St. on the road could be a possibility if we had Grant. Our only shot at bowling is if the Defense keeps improving which I see them doing every week. We are #1 in the BIG in red zone efficiency and #4 against the pass. So yeah, there are some positives here. Maybe even a 5-7 team gets us in. My concern is how are we going to score points without Grant? Maybe we improve Offensively as well. I'll take it a game at a time.

I agree, I think the staff and team finds a way to put some wins together down the stretch.

I also think we're going to get a win were not supposed to. It sucks we lost to Iowa, but if anything that makes me more confident in the team. A tight game like that allows the players to buy into Ash's philosophy even more. That can only help us.

No grant does have me a bit worried.
