Does any know if the food concession stands will be open in the stadium?
(I am bringing some teenagers and them seem to need to eat every 30 minutes.)

Your better off eating before going to the game as pretzels, popcorn and hotdogs will be the main fare if the menu is the same as it is for lacrosse games.

EXACTLY! also sneak some goodies in,,,I always opted for tucking things near my lower body...no ones gonna pat U down there......and my lady is good at stuffing goodies in her "cleavage" area LOL

At Disney(they allow food for diabetic liability reasons,,always have) we tote in a couple Publix subs....cashews, chips,,,but never chocolate,,,,,it melts here in Fla...only did THAT once LOL

and i got a sweet British hip flask for Christmas

The hot dogs were OK, they are hot dogs after all but the thumbs down to the Italian sausage sandwich. Did anyone try the pulled pork?

Ahh, the Italian sausage sandwich. Also available at the RAC for those who desire the best in a fine dining experience. Low grade dog food at its finest !

It's concessioned out to Sodexco and should not be confused with University Dining Services which does an excellent for the students and other events not at the stadium. Have worked with them for years and many events and have found the food and service to be very good and have heard similar comments from many other people and students too.

Like RU62 noted, the concessions are contracted to Sodexo USA, affiliate of the world corporation based outside Paris, France.

For those unfamiliar with the contract, it was announced on August 3, 2012. It is a ten-year contract that sets Sodexo as the exclusive provider for concessions services at High Point Solutions Stadium, the Rutgers Athletic Center, and Yurcak Field, both to the general seating areas as well as the premium locations. The PR from Athletics on the contract can be found at: http://www.scarletknights.com/genrel/080312aaa.html . Make sure you read it carefully as there is a mandatory statement that is to be included which greatly confuses what the company is doing for the University vis a vis their "community service."

For reference, the “Big Four” concession providers are Sodexo, Aramark, Chartwells, and Bon Appetite.

Frankly, 2021 cannot come fast enough to rid us of this company.

As a Yankee hater, it pains me to say it, but Legends Entertainment is probably best in class right now.

On the collegiate level, they do TAMU, DePaul, USC, Baylor and I think ND. They have very aggressive growth plans and should be considered when the time comes.

Eat before the game if you don't like the stadium fare. Plenty of options around town.

Was very happy with my $9 Fat Cat. Of course, standing on the line in the bubble for 2 hours before the game eliminated other food options and made me very hungry.

I was in the Grease truck line before the game and there were a bunch of students in front of me. It was taking so long one of the kids said he was going into the game to eat. The other kids said there was no way they would eat in there since it costs so much and it isn't that good. Even college kids recognize the food quality.

There were students at the game? Didn't even notice.

The lowest bidder is not the driving reason why the food sucks at the stadium.

Lack of any meaningful supervision is.

Citi Field food is better but we aren't getting any of those restaurants or chefs to open up shop here.

By the way, why can't the stadium or the RAC figure out how to provide quality food options? Is it really that difficult to achieve?

Quality food at concessions?

$6 brownies were a bargain as well.

The stadium food is garbage even by concession stands standards.

No point in repeating these wonderful post on our contracted CRAP supplier.
1) we need a FAN evaluation day for the next contract
2) We should make a consortium of local restaurants or food suppliers/healthy alternatives and put them up against Sodexo, Aramark, Chartwells, and Bon Appetite<< based on taste not lowest bidder
3) BAN Sodexo as they truly suck and they use Popa John pizza which is an insult to pizza as they use synthetic cheese
4) food contract should be chosen on food quality not low bidder see #1 above let FANS chose.
The fans have spoken by the lack of sales of stadium food.
Please all High school groups and organizations REFUSE to man the stands as you all end up losing money some hardly make enough to pay for transportation to and from the game. The only stands that show any volume is by the visitors section as they do not know any better

Ummmm....ok, but what's the point? Citi isn't run by Legends, which was who I wrote about.

Aramark runs Citi Field. The chef partnerships in center field are totally different animal (which is why they are clustered together).

We'd be better off with local restaurant partnerships (like RU Hungry, Hansel, any NB pizzeria, Stuff Yer Face, a NB Chinese restaurant, Surf Taco, Tacoria, etc.) over any of those large food service companies but I doubt that is likely. Aramark is just as bad as Sodexo. Legends food at Yankee Stadium is slightly better. We tried numerous things for the Pinstripe Bowls & they were mediocre at best.

Maybe Secret Service will take Sodexo into custody for trying to poison the President at Commencement, thus ending the contract.

Overrated no thanks. Ok at best fries with melted cheese and Old Bay.

Over rated maybe, but me and thousands were dropping $13 for the fries and cheese at the Flyers game on Sunday. I was in line almost the whole intermission.

Had a great foot long chili dog in Arkansas when we were there. It seems all the away game venues have much better food than we do and that is very sad. Something needs to change here the food always cold and nasty and how the hell do we get back deli mustard I hate that yellow mustard?

The non-center field food is pretty good too. I'll take a hot sausage peppers and onions from Citi any day of the week. Everything is pretty well managed and even with long lines they move quickly so you can get in and out in a half inning around most of the stadium.

I don't buy food during Rutgers games except for the occasional pretzel but moving towards better quality food, even at higher prices, isn't a bad idea. Generally speaking people are comfortable paying up for food at sporting events. I'd rather pay $9 for a grilled sausage with the works than $5 for a boiled hot dog.
