I have no inside information. Never have. But I've been walking this earth for a while. Those who think that money won't matter because [insert reasoning about loyalty, doing the right thing, already having enough money through mom and dad, etc.] are thinking like a child rooting for his or her favorite sports team. Of course it matters. More interesting is what Russ hints at. Where is the money that RU has obviously offered coming from? Because it has to be a lot. Having the #2 and #3 recruits in the country considering RU suggests that RU is lining up attractive NIL deals.

Adidas can pay kids now through NIL. They see Rutgers as a good bet to bolster their brand. Pay 5 star kids to come here plus the glitz and glamour of NYC. Solid investment for the brand. We become the premiere Adidas school on the East Coast
If you are saying that there was an aproximate NIL # in place and that now Harper’s team is looking for more, Richie has already mentioned that Harper’s NIL agent has been looking for the best deals out there hence the late KU entry. That’s not news. The question I have for Richie/Mike is whether they think there is strategic/financial value to delaying a commitment. As more kids come off the board does that inflate the value of the uncommitted or is there a relatively set figure depending upon hs ranking? From a team chemistry standpoint if Dylan comes to RU whatever he gets will ultimately change the overall value of Ace’s deal to match it I would expect.

Good to hear, and good for him. But it also shows that he is--in my estimation, reasonably--maximizing his income. And I'm sure it will have some effect on his school choice.
Who knows? But if addidas is footing the bill we’re in a good spot. Then we need to convert with a banner season. If you think about it from the Addidas position, there is a ton of upside to supporting Rutgers right now.

I agree. With a guy like Dylan, money should not be the big issue. Wherever he goes he's gonna get his dinero.
Other factors should be in play one would think.
Is there anything stopping Saudis from picking a university and spending 25.000.000 to buying their way in to March Madness.
