You know they are basically best friends........E.J Barthels hasn't done a thing. E.J. Barthel is another story.
He's not a coach - he's not going to have tangible things that can be pointed to.

I can see this. I think he should be held until signing day. He has until then to prove himself to the new staff.I understand the case against him, I really do. I don't think coach flood was ever going to inspire the top players to sign their names on the letter of intent. Flood was not an inspiring personality, nor was he persuasive. That's not on EJ. EJ's job was to generate interest among the top 15 players in New Jersey and he batted just about a thousand in that regard. Rutgers was seriously considered by most of them. I can't recall another time since I've been following Rutgers that such a large percentage of the top players in the state were so interested in hearing what Rutgers had to say. The problem was Kyle flood was the one talking once they got here.
