He is emphasizing that there is only one thing for Penn State to be thinking about right now.
Franklin was a total douche in his first year or two, but he seems to be settling down being fairly humble.
A reporter at the press conference asked a question about all the losses that occurred last weekend and Franlin did not want to answer it. So he replied Rutgers (as that is what the team is focusing on), then uncomfortable silence because he did not want to answer the question. It was not in any way disrespectful to Rutgers.
OK. Well, hopefully in the post game press conference, Franklin will have some uncomfortable silence again. It's going to take a lot for that to happen, but Rutgers fans can hope.
I'm pretty sure our good buddy PJ Fleck has during his tenure at WMU. He's worn a shirt and tie under some sort of WMU pullover. I don't know if he still does it though.
I think he likes to troll TBH. That being said, I think he learned a lot from some of the comments he made earlier this season. Then again, he's been winning since then so hard to tell.
He shouldn't have addressed negative recruiting at B1G media days. He made his point in the newspaper article and should have said as much. It's a big boy business so no one cares about negative recruiting or being young.
Franklin always get the "big picture" type questions in his weekly press conference and his answer is always to repeat the name of the next opponent over and over. Take a look at this weeks press conference starting at the 24:00 mark. Cory Giger from the Altoona newspaper asked this weeks big picture question. Cory doesn't like Penn State or Franklin and makes that quite well known. I think the tweet is Franklin trolling Cory a little bit. If you watch/listen to Cory's question and Franklins answer you'll hear snickering and laughing in the background.
