Today is my day to buy additional single game tickets. nobody answers at box office but that's ok because they sent me an email to do it online. Online doesn't work either.......

I have not called in a while, but I know there are two extensions ( 8 & 9?)......if they did not answer the correct one for you, I would try the other....if you can get somebody to pick up they can maybe take care of it....

Just got mine online no problem. Also, I always hit extension 9 it goes right to my ticket rep if you're calling in

It not like anyone else was trying to buy tickets and the reps were all busy, right.

Some people area little quick to complain.

That's a valid excuse for the box office but why not put me on hold? How about a message that says we are presently helping others so either choose to hold or leave a message. That would have been ok but the message I got was the same one you would get if you called at 2 am stating they were closed. Also, phone aside, there is no reason for the website not to be working at 9 am. No, I'm not really quick to complain, in fact, I rarely do.

Rutgers should be thrilled that fans cared enough to complain. The casual fan would've gave up and continued with their day without trying again.

Exactly, to be honest, I don't even need these tickets. I bought them jus in case and figured worst case I would sell them to a lower PP person who never got the chance.

The one job of the ticket office is to do what?

I love my rep. We have a good relationship. But shouldn't the ticket office be able to handle the sale of tickets? What else does it do?

I called my ticket rep on Friday and told him what I wanted to do. He said he'd call me back at 8:30am on Monday to complete my order.
At 8:30 this morning my phone rang and it was him. I completed my order in about 2 or 3 minutes and received my confirmation email a few minutes later. Now that is service.
I'm not totally sure but I think the Ticket Office and the personal ticket reps are 2 different entities.

I've had the same issue as VKJ several times. It seems like in the morning, they are slow to take down the "closed for business" recording. Its absurd. No legitimate business has a message that says "sorry we are closed" up during business hours.

I have done that in the past but this year I didn't decide on extras until yesterday.

The difference between our ticket office and Saracruse is when we have disruptions people bitch they can not buy extra tickets. When it happens with sara no one complains because no one is buying any tickets!
Dito Pittsburgh

I am not saying Pitt is one of those schools.but when you have a school that plays in a huge 70,000-80,000 seat NFL stadium (say,South Florida), why not just sell seats on one side of the stadium (the one you see on TV). It would look a heck of a lot better than seeing tons of empty seats from the 30 or 35 yard line to the end zone.
